Version: 1.0

1. Our Commitment

Guidemeet Private limited (“GuideMeet,” “we,” “us” or “our”) is committed to making GuideMeet.com and the features we provide accessible and usable for as many people as reasonably possible, including people with disabilities.

We aim to consider accessibility throughout the design, development, testing and improvement of the Platform. Accessibility is an ongoing process, and we welcome feedback that helps us identify and remove barriers.

GuideMeet also uses layered protection for public images. These measures are designed to help identify the hosting platform, protect private originals and investigate unauthorized reuse without unnecessarily reducing search visibility or accessibility.

2. Scope of This Statement

This Statement applies to GuideMeet’s websites and web-based Platform, including, where available:

  • public pages, destination pages and Guide Profiles;
  • guide search, filtering, saving, comparing and following;
  • account registration, sign-in and settings;
  • Guide Insights and other user-submitted content;
  • GuideMeet Messages;
  • reporting, blocking and support tools;
  • Guide verification and subscription flows;
  • Guide dashboards and Guide Network or collaboration features; and
  • Consultations, Services and related features where enabled.

Image protection applies to public copies of:

  • Guide Profile gallery images;
  • Guide Profile cover images;
  • Guide Service or package images;
  • Guide Insight images; and
  • other future public Guide content.

It does not apply publicly to identity documents, licences, certificates, verification photographs, report evidence, private-message attachments, consultation documents, payment documents or images marked private.

If GuideMeet later offers mobile applications or other digital services, we intend to apply the same accessibility principles to them and will update this Statement as appropriate.

3. Accessibility Standard and Current Status

GuideMeet is working toward meeting the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium. WCAG is organized around four principles: content should be perceivable, operable, understandable and robust.

Until GuideMeet completes and documents an appropriate accessibility evaluation, this Statement must not be interpreted as a claim that the Platform fully conforms to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. GuideMeet should not display a WCAG conformance logo unless the scope and accuracy of that claim have been verified.

Image-protection measures described in this Statement are not intended to prevent access by screen readers, keyboard users, search engines or other assistive technologies. Accessibility remains a separate requirement from image-copy protection.

4. Measures We Take

Depending on the relevant feature and stage of development, our accessibility work may include:

  • using semantic structure, headings, labels and accessible names;
  • supporting keyboard navigation and visible keyboard focus;
  • maintaining appropriate text and interface contrast;
  • avoiding reliance on color alone to communicate meaning;
  • supporting text enlargement, zoom and responsive reflow;
  • providing text alternatives for meaningful non-text content where we control it;
  • providing captions, transcripts or other alternatives for multimedia we publish where appropriate;
  • making forms, instructions, validation and error messages understandable;
  • designing controls with clear names, roles, states and instructions;
  • avoiding content likely to trigger seizures or physical reactions;
  • testing selected user journeys with automated tools, keyboard-only use and assistive technologies;
  • considering accessibility when selecting third-party services; and
  • training relevant team members and incorporating accessibility into product review.

For public images, GuideMeet intends to:

  • preserve meaningful alternative text and accessible image descriptions;
  • use watermarks that do not cover faces or important information;
  • omit visible watermarks from very small images when the watermark would be unreadable;
  • avoid disabling right-click globally, because doing so can interfere with accessibility and normal browser functionality;
  • avoid using image protection as a substitute for text alternatives;
  • avoid globally blocking search-engine image crawlers where search visibility is part of GuideMeet’s acquisition strategy; and
  • provide public image copies through normal browser-accessible URLs while keeping original uploads private.

The measures actually implemented at launch must be confirmed through testing before publication of this Statement.

5. Intended Accessibility Features

GuideMeet intends to support, where applicable:

  • navigation using a keyboard without requiring a mouse;
  • logical headings, landmarks and focus order;
  • descriptive page titles, links, buttons and form labels;
  • alternative text for meaningful images supplied by GuideMeet;
  • accessible status, success and error messages;
  • sufficient contrast and information that does not depend only on color;
  • browser zoom and text resizing without loss of essential content or function;
  • clear instructions for registration, messaging, reporting and subscription tasks; and
  • compatibility with commonly used modern browsers and assistive technologies, subject to testing.

Where image dragging is disabled as an optional casual deterrent, the underlying image information must remain available through accessible page content and alternative text. GuideMeet will not rely on disabling dragging or other browser behavior as a security control.

6. Public Image Protection and Accessibility

GuideMeet’s public image-protection system uses separate private originals and public derivatives.

The intended processing flow is:

  1. validate the format, MIME type, dimensions and file size;
  2. perform malware and malformed-file checks;
  3. apply EXIF orientation;
  4. store the encrypted original in private storage;
  5. strip original metadata from the processing copy;
  6. generate public image sizes;
  7. add a visible GuideMeet watermark where appropriate;
  8. add a signed, opaque asset identifier after resilience testing;
  9. compress the image into an approved format such as JPEG, WebP or AVIF; and
  10. add approved rights metadata before storing the public derivative in the CDN.

Original uploads must never be available through a publicly accessible URL. GuideMeet will not provide a “view original” endpoint.

Public image sizes may include:

  • Thumbnail: 320px;
  • Card: 640px;
  • Profile: 1280px; and
  • Large view: 1920px maximum.

Visible watermarks will generally use the GuideMeet logo in the bottom-right corner, with an adaptive light or dark version, safe margins and an approximate opacity and size intended to remain noticeable without obstructing important content. The watermark identifies GuideMeet as the hosting platform. It does not indicate copyright ownership, verification or endorsement.

The watermark will not state:

  • “Verified by GuideMeet”;
  • “GuideMeet Approved”;
  • “GuideMeet Certified”; or
  • “© GuideMeet”.

Profile avatars may have no visible watermark or only a very small watermark because they are often displayed at small sizes.

GuideMeet may implement an invisible signed identifier in public derivatives after resilience testing. The identifier will be opaque, will not contain personal information and will be used for internal asset identification. GuideMeet will not describe it publicly as a reliable ownership-protection mechanism unless it survives agreed tests, which may include compression, conversion, resizing, cropping, screenshots, image adjustments, filters and social-media recompression.

Image hashes and asset records may be used to identify duplicate or altered copies and to support abuse investigations. These controls do not guarantee that images cannot be downloaded, copied, modified or redistributed.

7. Metadata, Privacy and Rights Information

GuideMeet will sanitize the public processing copy before publication. This includes removing, where present:

  • GPS coordinates;
  • camera serial numbers;
  • device-owner information;
  • private filenames;
  • contact details;
  • embedded thumbnails; and
  • editing history.

GuideMeet may then add controlled IPTC/XMP rights information, such as:

  • creator, if supplied and verified;
  • the actual copyright holder, if known;
  • “Displayed via GuideMeet” as the credit line;
  • GuideMeet as the source;
  • an opaque public asset identifier; and

GuideMeet will not identify itself as the copyright owner unless it actually owns the image. Metadata does not transfer ownership and should not be treated as a substitute for accessible image descriptions or alternative text.

8. Known and Potential Limitations

Some content or functions may not yet be fully accessible. Potential limitations include:

  • photos, videos, Guide Insights, profile descriptions or other content uploaded by users that may lack accurate text alternatives, captions or accessible formatting;
  • third-party maps, payment tools, identity-verification tools, video players, embedded content or support services that GuideMeet does not fully control;
  • older documents, downloadable files or content created before accessibility processes were applied;
  • complex dashboards, filters, messaging interactions or collaboration tools that may present keyboard or screen-reader barriers;
  • automated translations, summaries or AI-assisted content that may contain errors or be difficult to understand;
  • temporary defects introduced by new or updated features; and
  • visible watermarks or image overlays that may affect the presentation of user-submitted images, although they are intended not to obscure faces or important information.

This list is not a finding that every stated limitation exists. GuideMeet will replace it with verified findings after testing. When we learn of a barrier, we will assess it, prioritize remediation based on impact and feasibility, and seek to provide an accessible alternative or reasonable assistance where appropriate and required by law.

9. User-Generated Content and Image Uploads

Guides and Travelers can submit content to GuideMeet. Because users create this content, its accessibility and rights status may vary.

We encourage users to:

  • add accurate alternative text to meaningful images where the feature is available;
  • provide captions or transcripts for video and audio where reasonably possible;
  • use clear language and descriptive links;
  • use headings and lists in a logical order; and
  • avoid communicating essential information only through color, images or audio.

Before publicly displaying an image, GuideMeet may process it into resized, optimized public copies. Public copies may include a visible or invisible GuideMeet platform identifier and standardized rights metadata. These measures do not transfer ownership to GuideMeet and do not constitute verification or endorsement.

The following notice must appear directly below the image uploader:

Public images may be resized, optimized and displayed with visible or invisible GuideMeet platform identifiers and standardized rights metadata. These measures identify GuideMeet as the hosting platform and help investigate unauthorized reuse. They do not transfer ownership of the image to GuideMeet or constitute verification or endorsement.

Users must also confirm:

I confirm that I own this image or have the permissions and consents necessary to upload and publicly display it.

GuideMeet may introduce prompts, fields, guidance or moderation measures to improve the accessibility and rights compliance of user-generated content. These measures do not guarantee that every item of user content will be accessible or lawfully reusable.

10. Third-Party Services and External Websites

GuideMeet may link to or integrate services operated by third parties, including payment processors such as Stripe and supported Nepal payment gateways, map or hosting providers, analytics services and identity-verification providers. Those parties control their own services and accessibility practices.

We seek to consider accessibility when selecting and reviewing important vendors, but we cannot guarantee the accessibility of third-party websites or tools. If a third-party service creates a barrier while you are using GuideMeet, please contact us so we can investigate available alternatives or assistance.

11. Compatibility and Testing

GuideMeet is intended to work with reasonably current versions of commonly used browsers, operating systems and assistive technologies. Actual compatibility may vary by feature and configuration.

For the best experience, use a supported, up-to-date browser and operating system. This recommendation does not replace our responsibility to address accessibility barriers within the scope required by applicable law.

GuideMeet also intends to test image-processing features for:

  • readability and non-obstruction of visible watermarks;
  • correct alternative text and accessible names;
  • preservation of responsive behavior and browser zoom;
  • compatibility with keyboard navigation and assistive technologies;
  • safe handling of metadata and personal information; and
  • resilience of any invisible identifier before describing that identifier as dependable.

12. Accessibility Feedback and Support

If you experience an accessibility barrier, need information in another accessible format, or need help completing a task on GuideMeet, contact us at:

Accessibility email: legal@guidemeet.com
Contact form: https://guidemeet.com/contact
Postal address: KOTESHWAR, KATHMANDU 44600, NEPAL

It is helpful—but not required—to tell us:

  • the page address or feature involved;
  • what you were trying to do;
  • the browser, device or assistive technology you used;
  • a description of the barrier; and
  • how you would prefer us to respond.

You do not need to disclose a diagnosis, medical record or other sensitive health information to report an accessibility issue. Please do not send sensitive identity, health or payment information unless we specifically request it through an appropriate secure channel.

13. Accessible Alternatives and Assistance

Where content or functionality is not accessible, we will seek to provide the information, service or a reasonable alternative in an accessible manner where reasonably available and required by applicable law. We will not charge a person with a disability an additional fee solely for an accessible alternative that applicable law requires us to provide.

The appropriate alternative will depend on the request, the feature and the available technology. An alternative should, as far as reasonably possible, provide equivalent access, privacy, independence and timeliness.

14. Response Process

We aim to:

  1. acknowledge accessibility feedback within 7 business days;
  2. assess the issue and request only information reasonably needed to investigate it;
  3. provide an update or proposed alternative within 7 business days, where reasonably possible; and
  4. explain any additional time needed for complex technical or third-party issues.

These are service targets, not guaranteed resolution periods. Urgency, technical complexity, security, third-party dependencies and the nature of the requested alternative may affect timing.

15. Escalating a Concern

If you are dissatisfied with our initial response, reply to the accessibility support message and request escalation to legal@guidemeet.com. We will review the concern in good faith and provide an updated response.

GuideMeet will not retaliate against a person for making a good-faith accessibility request or complaint.

Nothing in this Statement limits any rights or remedies available under applicable law.

16. Emergency and Safety Requests

The accessibility contact is not an emergency service and may not be monitored continuously. If you face an immediate threat to life or safety, contact the appropriate local emergency services or authorities directly.

For non-emergency safety reports involving GuideMeet, use the reporting tools available on the Platform or visit https://guidemeet.com/trust-safety.

17. Continuous Improvement and Updates

We plan to review accessibility as the Platform, standards and legal requirements develop. We may update this Statement to reflect new features, completed evaluations, identified limitations, remediation work or changes in applicable requirements.

The effective date and last-updated date will show when this Statement was most recently revised. Material changes may also be communicated through the Platform where appropriate.

Image-protection measures may be introduced in stages. GuideMeet intends to:

  1. update the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy;
  2. add the upload notice and rights confirmation;
  3. build private-original and public-rendition storage;
  4. implement metadata sanitization;
  5. add visible watermarking;
  6. add controlled IPTC/XMP metadata;
  7. add hashes and asset records;
  8. test invisible watermark technology;
  9. enable invisible identifiers only after passing resilience testing;
  10. configure CDN and WAF controls;
  11. process new uploads; and
  12. notify existing Guides and regenerate existing public images after the updated Terms take effect.

When an image is deleted, GuideMeet intends to remove it from the relevant profile or content, invalidate or purge public CDN copies, mark the asset as deleted, remove the private original according to the retention schedule and record the deletion in the audit log. Copies may be retained where required for an active report, dispute, legal hold or security investigation.

GuideMeet uses CDN and WAF controls for crawler and abuse management, which may include rate limits, detection of sequential profile harvesting, suspicious-request challenges, hotlink controls, logging and temporary blocking of repeated violations. These measures are not intended to block ordinary access by search engines, screen readers or other accessibility tools unnecessarily.

GuideMeet may use robots.txt for crawler management. It is not a security measure. Private directories and original storage must also be technically inaccessible.
