These Community & Messaging Guidelines (the “Guidelines”) explain the conduct expected when using GuideMeet.com and its related websites, applications, dashboards, messaging tools and community features (collectively, the “Platform”).
The Platform is operated by Guidemeet Private limited, a company registered in Nepal (“GuideMeet,” “we,” “us” or “our”).
These Guidelines form part of the GuideMeet Terms of Use. By using a feature covered by these Guidelines, you agree to follow them. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms of Use.
1. Purpose and Community Principles
GuideMeet is a professional guide discovery, insight and communication platform. It is designed to help Travelers discover and communicate with local Guides and to help approved Guides build professional profiles, share local knowledge, respond to Inquiries and collaborate with other Guides.
Everyone using GuideMeet must communicate and participate in a manner that is:
- professional and relevant;
- truthful and transparent;
- respectful and non-discriminatory;
- safe and lawful;
- protective of privacy and confidentiality; and
- consistent with the purpose of the Platform.
These Guidelines apply to public and private Platform activity, including GuideMeet Messages, Inquiries, Guide Profiles, Guide Insights, comments, reviews, connection requests, Guide Network communications, Consultation Requests, Service Requests, Referrals, reports and other user interactions.
2. Eligibility and Responsibility
GuideMeet accounts are for people aged 18 or older who are legally capable of using the Platform.
You are responsible for:
- activity conducted through your account;
- the messages and content you submit;
- ensuring that your account and identity information are accurate;
- obtaining authority before acting for a company, guide team or other person;
- complying with applicable law and professional obligations; and
- protecting your login credentials and devices.
Do not allow another person to use your account or create an account for another person without proper authority. Notify GuideMeet promptly if you suspect unauthorized account access.
3. Professional Communication
Communications must relate reasonably to guide discovery, travel planning, destination information, professional collaboration, an eligible Platform feature or another legitimate purpose accepted by the recipient.
Users must:
- communicate honestly and respectfully;
- provide information reasonably necessary for the conversation;
- respect another user’s decision not to respond, connect, collaborate or proceed;
- avoid repeated messages after a recipient declines or asks for contact to stop;
- distinguish estimates, opinions and personal experience from confirmed facts;
- correct material information that becomes inaccurate; and
- disclose relevant commercial relationships or conflicts of interest.
GuideMeet does not guarantee that a user will respond to a message or accept an Inquiry, connection, Referral, Consultation Request, Service Request or proposed arrangement.
An Inquiry or message is not, by itself, a confirmed booking or binding service agreement. Users remain responsible for agreeing separately on material terms such as scope, price, itinerary, inclusions, exclusions, cancellation, payment, permits, insurance and safety arrangements.
4. GuideMeet Messages and Inquiries
GuideMeet Messages may support eligible communications between Travelers and Guides and between approved Guides. Depending on the features enabled, communications may include:
- general questions;
- structured Inquiries;
- Request Custom Plan information;
- destination and availability discussions;
- Consultation Requests;
- Service Requests;
- Guide Network connection or collaboration messages;
- Traveler-consented Referral communications;
- status updates; and
- related Platform notices.
Users must not use GuideMeet Messages to:
- send spam, bulk solicitations or repetitive unwanted messages;
- pressure a recipient to respond or transact;
- misrepresent availability, qualifications, prices, affiliations or intentions;
- send unrelated promotions or recruitment messages without permission;
- request or transmit passwords or complete payment-card information;
- request unnecessary identification, financial, health or other sensitive information;
- distribute malware, suspicious links or deceptive files;
- coordinate unlawful, fraudulent or unsafe activity; or
- evade a restriction, suspension, payment rule or safety measure.
GuideMeet may apply reasonable limits to new Inquiries, connection requests, message frequency, attachments or other activity to reduce spam, fraud and misuse. Plan-based limits may apply to receiving or initiating certain communications. Existing conversations may remain replyable as described on the Platform.
5. Private Messages and GuideMeet Access
GuideMeet Messages are not publicly visible. Users should not assume that they are end-to-end encrypted unless GuideMeet expressly states that an applicable feature provides end-to-end encryption.
GuideMeet may process message content to provide messaging, translation and enabled assistance features; maintain security; prevent fraud or abuse; and investigate reported, escalated or assigned safety and support cases.
GuideMeet does not ordinarily have personnel review private messages merely because they are sent through the Platform. Human access is restricted to authorized personnel with a legitimate operational need. Authorized personnel or approved service providers may access, preserve or review relevant communications where reasonably necessary to:
- respond to a user report or support request;
- investigate suspected fraud, abuse, harassment or unsafe conduct;
- enforce the Terms or these Guidelines;
- protect a person, GuideMeet or the public;
- diagnose a technical or security problem;
- resolve a payment or service dispute where an applicable feature is enabled; or
- comply with law, legal process or a valid request from an authority.
Access is subject to the Privacy Policy and applicable internal access, confidentiality and security controls. GuideMeet may use automated tools to identify spam, malware, fraud indicators or potentially harmful activity, subject to applicable law and the disclosures in the Privacy Policy.
6. Contact Details and Off-Platform Communication
GuideMeet is designed to facilitate direct communication. Users may voluntarily exchange contact details when reasonably necessary for a legitimate conversation or arrangement. No user is required to provide personal contact details merely because another user asks.
When moving a conversation away from GuideMeet, users should understand that:
- GuideMeet may be unable to review off-Platform communications;
- Platform reporting, record and safety tools may no longer apply;
- GuideMeet is not responsible for the security or privacy of an external service; and
- evidence outside the Platform may be more difficult for GuideMeet to verify.
Where GuideMeet later enables a paid Consultation, Service, Traveler payment or other protected transaction, users must not move the transaction off the Platform to evade disclosed fees, payment rules, safety controls, refund procedures or other applicable requirements.
7. Guide Network Connections and Collaboration
The Guide Network is a permission-based professional feature. A connection request may be accepted, declined or ignored. A connection does not create employment, agency, partnership, joint venture, endorsement or a guarantee of future work.
Guides using the Guide Network must:
- connect for legitimate professional purposes;
- accurately describe their identity, experience and intended collaboration;
- respect another Guide’s refusal or decision to disconnect;
- protect information received through the connection;
- agree clearly on responsibilities, payment, commissions and service delivery outside GuideMeet where applicable;
- comply with licensing, tax, insurance and other professional requirements; and
- avoid misrepresenting another Guide, team or relationship.
Guides may not use connections to harvest contact details, copy proprietary materials, manipulate Platform activity, create undisclosed conflicts, coordinate deceptive reviews or obtain Traveler information without authorization.
8. Traveler Referrals
A Referral may occur only through an eligible feature and only after the Traveler affirmatively agrees to the specific proposed introduction.
Before sharing identifying information, the referring Guide or Platform flow should explain, as applicable:
- why another Guide is being suggested;
- the identity or profile of the proposed receiving Guide;
- what information is proposed to be shared;
- the purpose of the introduction; and
- any known referral fee, commission or material commercial relationship that could affect the recommendation.
Silence, inactivity, a general connection, acceptance of these Guidelines or a previous Referral does not constitute consent to a new Referral. Consent must be obtained for the particular introduction.
If the Traveler declines or does not respond, identifying information must not be shared with the proposed Guide. Non-identifying discussion may occur only where it does not reasonably reveal the Traveler’s identity.
A receiving Guide may use Referral information only to respond to the authorized introduction and related arrangement. The information must not be used for unrelated marketing, additional referrals, public posting or disclosure to another person without a lawful basis and any required permission.
A Traveler may withdraw permission for a future disclosure. Withdrawal does not reverse information already lawfully shared before the withdrawal. GuideMeet may retain a limited record of the Referral request and consent decision for operation, safety, dispute and compliance purposes.
9. Guide Profiles and Professional Claims
Guides must ensure that their profiles and communications are truthful, current and not misleading.
A Guide must not:
- fabricate experience, destinations, employment, affiliations or client history;
- claim a licence, permit, qualification, award or insurance that is invalid, expired or not held;
- copy another person’s biography, photographs, credentials or work;
- exaggerate safety capabilities, success rates or access to restricted areas;
- claim guaranteed permits, weather, access, results or safety;
- use a paid plan, featured placement or profile approval as proof of government licensing; or
- imply that GuideMeet employs, endorses or guarantees the Guide.
Paid subscription does not purchase verification. A GuideMeet verification or trust signal means only that the applicable published criteria were met when assessed. It is not a guarantee of identity, current licensing, competence, conduct, availability, safety or suitability.
Guides must promptly update information that is no longer accurate and cooperate reasonably with verification, safety, complaint and compliance reviews.
10. Guide Insights, Comments and Community Content
Guide Insights are intended to share useful local knowledge, such as destination tips, route updates, safety notes, cultural information, seasonal advice, trek-preparation information and field observations.
Users submitting public content must:
- have the rights and permissions required to publish it;
- distinguish current observations from historical or general information;
- include relevant dates or context for time-sensitive route, weather, access or safety information;
- avoid presenting uncertain information as confirmed fact;
- correct or remove materially inaccurate information when reasonably possible;
- respect local communities, cultures, protected areas and sensitive locations;
- obtain appropriate permission before identifying or depicting another person; and
- comply with the User Content provisions of the Terms of Use.
Users must not publish content that:
- encourages unlawful entry, permit evasion or prohibited activity;
- provides recklessly dangerous instructions;
- reveals sensitive rescue, security or private location information without legitimate reason;
- exploits vulnerable people or local communities;
- infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or other rights;
- is materially deceptive, manipulated or falsely attributed; or
- contains spam, malware or undisclosed commercial promotion.
Guide Insights and comments are user-generated information. They are not a substitute for current official advice, professional risk assessment, medical advice, rescue services or local-authority instructions.
11. Public Images and Image Protection
GuideMeet applies image-protection and privacy controls to public copies of images uploaded to the Platform. These controls are intended to identify GuideMeet as the hosting platform, protect private originals, support rights investigations and reduce abusive automated copying. They cannot completely prevent downloading, screenshots or copying.
11.1 Images covered
These controls may apply to public copies of:
- Guide Profile gallery images;
- Guide Profile cover images;
- Guide Service or package images;
- Guide Insight images; and
- other future public Guide content.
For profile avatars, GuideMeet may omit a visible watermark or use a very small watermark because avatars are often displayed at small sizes.
GuideMeet must never publicly watermark or expose:
- identity documents;
- licences and certificates;
- verification photographs;
- report evidence;
- private-message attachments;
- consultation documents;
- payment documents; or
- images marked private.
11.2 Upload processing
GuideMeet may process public image uploads through a pipeline that includes:
- validating format, MIME type, dimensions and file size;
- checking for malware and malformed files;
- applying EXIF orientation;
- storing the encrypted original in private storage;
- stripping metadata from the processing copy;
- generating public image sizes;
- adding an approved visible GuideMeet watermark;
- adding a signed, opaque asset identifier;
- compressing the image into JPEG, WebP or AVIF;
- adding approved IPTC/XMP rights metadata; and
- storing public derivatives for CDN delivery.
The original upload must never have a publicly accessible URL.
11.3 Visible watermark
Public images may display:
- the GuideMeet logo;
- bottom-right placement by default;
- an adaptive white or dark version;
- approximately 8–12% of the image width;
- approximately 40–60% opacity; and
- safe margins from the image edge.
The watermark should remain visible without covering faces or important information. For very small images, GuideMeet may omit the visible watermark if it would be unreadable.
The watermark identifies GuideMeet as the hosting platform. It does not identify the copyright owner, confirm verification or constitute endorsement. The watermark must not state:
- “Verified by GuideMeet”;
- “GuideMeet Approved”;
- “GuideMeet Certified”; or
- “© GuideMeet”.
11.4 Invisible signed asset identifier
GuideMeet may embed a signed, opaque asset token in a public image. The identifier may use a format such as:
GM1:{public_asset_token}:{signature}
For example:
GM1:7F82A91C:4D29
The token should resolve internally to the relevant asset record and must not contain personal information. GuideMeet may use an HMAC-generated signature so that third parties cannot generate valid GuideMeet identifiers.
Invisible identifiers will be enabled only after resilience testing. Testing may include:
- 50–90% JPEG compression;
- WebP and AVIF conversion;
- 25–75% resizing;
- moderate cropping;
- screenshots;
- brightness and contrast changes;
- minor filters; and
- social-media recompression.
If an identifier cannot survive the agreed testing thresholds, GuideMeet will not describe it publicly as a reliable ownership-protection mechanism.
11.5 Metadata
GuideMeet will strip original public-copy metadata before publishing an image, including:
- GPS coordinates;
- camera serial numbers;
- device-owner information;
- private filenames;
- contact details;
- embedded thumbnails; and
- editing history.
After sanitization, GuideMeet may add controlled IPTC/XMP rights metadata, such as:
- Creator: [Photographer, if supplied and verified]
- Copyright Notice: [Actual rights holder, if known]
- Credit Line: Displayed via GuideMeet
- Source: GuideMeet
- Image Unique ID: [Opaque public asset token]
- Usage Terms: Reuse may require permission from the applicable rights holder.
GuideMeet must not identify itself as the copyright owner unless GuideMeet actually owns the image.
11.6 Original-image protection and public renditions
GuideMeet maintains separate storage classes:
- Private originals: encrypted originals with no public access and authorized backend access only.
- Public renditions: resized and sanitized derivatives with approved image identifiers, delivered through the CDN without sensitive metadata.
Public sizes may include:
- Thumbnail: 320px;
- Card: 640px;
- Profile: 1280px; and
- Large view: 1920px maximum.
GuideMeet will not provide a “view original” endpoint. Sequential database IDs must not be exposed in public image URLs.
11.7 Scraping controls and search visibility
GuideMeet may configure CDN and WAF controls to:
- rate-limit excessive image downloads;
- detect sequential profile harvesting;
- block abusive user agents and IP addresses;
- challenge suspicious automated requests;
- prevent access to private storage;
- restrict excessive hotlinking;
- log downloads and suspicious patterns; and
- temporarily block repeated violations.
GuideMeet may use robots.txt for crawler management, but robots.txt is not a security control. Private directories must also be technically inaccessible.
GuideMeet will not globally block Google Images where search visibility is part of its acquisition strategy. An example crawler configuration may include:
User-agent: Googlebot-Image
Allow: /media/public/
User-agent: *
Disallow: /media/private/
Disallow: /media/originals/
Disallow: /verification/
Disallow: /reports/11.8 Right-click and dragging
GuideMeet will not disable right-click globally because that measure is easily bypassed and may interfere with accessibility and normal browser functionality.
GuideMeet may optionally disable image dragging as a casual deterrent. This does not prevent copying or downloading and is not a security control.
11.9 Image records and hashing
GuideMeet may maintain an image-asset record containing fields such as:
ImageAsset
id
public_token
uploader_user_id
guide_profile_id optional
content_type
original_storage_key
rights_holder_name optional
creator_name optional
rights_status
original_sha256
perceptual_hash
watermark_version
invisible_signature
metadata_sanitized_at
processed_at
published_at optional
deleted_at optional
created_at
updated_atGuideMeet may use cryptographic and perceptual hashes to identify duplicate, altered or previously reported images and to support abuse investigations. Public URLs must not expose sequential database IDs.
11.10 Deletion and lifecycle
When an image is deleted, GuideMeet may:
- immediately remove it from the relevant Guide Profile or other public content;
- invalidate or purge public CDN copies;
- mark the asset as deleted;
- remove the private original according to the applicable retention schedule;
- preserve it only where required for an active report, dispute, legal hold or security investigation; and
- record the deletion in an audit log.
Account closure may trigger the same process.
12. Upload Notice and Rights Confirmation
GuideMeet will place the following notice directly below the relevant image uploader:
Public images may be resized, optimized and displayed with visible or invisible GuideMeet platform identifiers and standardized rights metadata. These measures identify GuideMeet as the hosting platform and help investigate unauthorized reuse. They do not transfer ownership of the image to GuideMeet or constitute verification or endorsement.
Where required, uploaders must confirm:
I confirm that I own this image or have the permissions and consents necessary to upload and publicly display it.
Uploading an image does not transfer ownership to GuideMeet. Users remain responsible for obtaining all permissions and consents required to upload and publicly display an image, including permissions relating to copyright, privacy, publicity, identifiable people, private locations and applicable professional or contractual restrictions.
13. Reviews and Testimonials
Reviews must reflect a genuine, relevant and firsthand experience or interaction. A reviewer must disclose any material connection, complimentary service, discount, payment or other incentive associated with the review where required by law or these Guidelines.
Users must not:
- create, purchase, sell or arrange fake reviews;
- submit a review for an experience that did not occur;
- use AI or another person to fabricate a purported personal experience;
- condition an incentive on a positive or negative sentiment;
- coordinate reviews between Guides, employees, relatives or connected accounts without appropriate disclosure;
- threaten, harass or retaliate against someone for an honest review;
- offer money or benefits to remove a legitimate negative review;
- suppress a review solely because it is negative; or
- manipulate ratings through duplicate, misleading or unauthorized accounts.
GuideMeet may decline or remove a review that is fraudulent, irrelevant, abusive, privacy-invasive, unlawfully defamatory, submitted for the wrong profile, unsupported by the required interaction, or otherwise violates these Guidelines. Moderation criteria should be applied consistently without favoring positive reviews.
A Guide may respond professionally to a review but must not reveal private Traveler information, threaten the reviewer or use the response to harass them.
14. Spam, Marketing and Solicitation
Users may not send unsolicited bulk messages, repetitive promotions, deceptive offers, referral schemes, unrelated job solicitations or automated marketing through the Platform.
Permitted professional outreach must be relevant, proportionate and directed to a recipient who could reasonably expect it. A request to stop must be respected promptly.
Guides must clearly disclose sponsored recommendations, commissions, affiliate relationships, paid placements and other material commercial connections where they could affect a Traveler’s understanding.
Users may not scrape or export Platform contact details for external marketing, add another user to a marketing list without a lawful basis, or sell, rent or trade user information.
15. Harassment, Discrimination and Exploitation
GuideMeet does not permit:
- threats, intimidation, stalking or repeated unwanted contact;
- bullying, humiliation or targeted abuse;
- hateful or dehumanizing content directed at a protected person or group;
- unlawful discrimination in access to services;
- sexual harassment or unwanted sexual content;
- sexual exploitation, trafficking or solicitation of unlawful sexual services;
- exploitation of children or vulnerable persons;
- blackmail, extortion or coercion;
- sharing intimate content without permission; or
- encouraging another person to harm themselves or others.
Legitimate safety, accessibility, legal or activity-suitability requirements may be discussed respectfully. Guides should communicate genuine physical, permit, equipment or competence requirements accurately and must not use them as a pretext for unlawful discrimination.
Any suspected child exploitation, trafficking, credible threat or immediate danger may be escalated to appropriate authorities where permitted or required by law.
16. Fraud, Impersonation and Financial Misconduct
Users must not:
- impersonate another person, Guide, business, authority or GuideMeet representative;
- create a misleading identity or unauthorized account;
- request advance payment through deceptive or untraceable methods;
- send false invoices, payment links or refund requests;
- misrepresent the price, currency, recipient or purpose of a payment;
- conduct phishing, credential theft, money laundering or other financial crime;
- misuse chargebacks or payment disputes;
- falsely claim that a payment is protected, insured, held in escrow or guaranteed by GuideMeet;
- solicit money for fabricated emergencies, permits or services; or
- use the Platform to evade sanctions, taxes, licensing requirements or other law.
Users should verify payment instructions independently and must not send complete payment-card information, passwords or one-time authentication codes through GuideMeet Messages.
GuideMeet is not a bank, wallet, money-transfer service or escrow provider. No payment should be described as processed, held, protected or guaranteed by GuideMeet unless the applicable Platform feature expressly states this and provides the relevant terms.
17. Privacy, Confidentiality and Personal Information
Users must respect the privacy of Travelers, Guides and other people.
Users must not collect, publish, disclose, sell, threaten to disclose or misuse another person’s private information, messages, identity documents, location, itinerary, payment information or contact details without lawful authority.
You must not:
- publish private contact details, identification documents, financial information, health information, precise itineraries or other sensitive information without lawful permission;
- disclose message content outside the conversation without a legitimate reason and lawful authority;
- upload another person’s photograph, video or personal information without required permission;
- use Inquiry, Referral or collaboration information for an unrelated purpose;
- collect more information than reasonably necessary;
- secretly record calls, meetings or consultations where prohibited; or
- threaten to expose another person’s private information.
If a Traveler provides information about a group member, minor or emergency contact, the Traveler must have appropriate authority and share only what is reasonably necessary. Information about minors must not be posted publicly without lawful permission.
Guides should establish appropriate safeguards for information retained outside GuideMeet and delete it when it is no longer reasonably needed, subject to applicable legal and professional requirements.
18. Intellectual Property, Image Rights and Platform Integrity
Users must not submit content they do not own or have permission to use. Copyright, trademark and other rights complaints should be submitted through GuideMeet’s published copyright-reporting process.
Users must not:
- copy or republish another user’s content without permission;
- remove ownership notices, rights information or watermarks;
- alter or attempt to defeat GuideMeet’s visible or invisible image identifiers for abusive purposes;
- scrape profiles, messages, reviews, images or Guide Insights;
- use bots or automation without GuideMeet’s written authorization;
- reverse engineer or interfere with Platform security;
- introduce malicious code;
- manipulate search ranking, engagement, reviews or trust signals;
- create accounts to evade enforcement; or
- access data, accounts or administrative functions without authorization.
GuideMeet’s watermark identifies GuideMeet as the hosting platform. It does not transfer copyright to GuideMeet and does not mean that GuideMeet owns, verifies, approves or certifies the image.
The presence of an image on GuideMeet does not grant any user a licence to download, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell or publicly display it. Reuse may require permission from the applicable rights holder.
Security vulnerabilities should be reported privately to info@guidemeet.com and must not be exploited or publicly disclosed in a way that creates unnecessary risk.
19. Travel Safety and Emergencies
GuideMeet is not an emergency, rescue, medical or public-safety service. If there is an immediate threat to life or safety, contact the relevant local emergency authority or rescue service first.
Travelers and Guides remain responsible for evaluating current conditions and making appropriate safety decisions. This includes assessing weather, altitude, route conditions, permits, transport, equipment, physical ability, accessibility, insurance, evacuation arrangements and local official guidance.
Users must not:
- knowingly encourage conduct beyond a person’s disclosed competence or lawful authorization;
- conceal a material known safety risk;
- guarantee that an activity is risk-free;
- obstruct legitimate emergency assistance; or
- make a knowingly false emergency report.
A safety report to GuideMeet does not replace contacting emergency authorities. GuideMeet may not be able to respond immediately or verify conditions in real time.
20. Reporting and Blocking
Users may report a profile, message, Guide Insight, comment, review, connection, Referral, image or other activity through an available Report function or by contacting info@guidemeet.com.
A useful report should include, where available:
- the account or content involved;
- the nature of the concern;
- relevant dates and links;
- screenshots or other lawful supporting information; and
- whether there is an immediate safety risk.
Do not submit knowingly false, retaliatory, repetitive or manipulated reports. A good-faith report will not violate these Guidelines merely because GuideMeet does not ultimately confirm the allegation.
Blocking may limit direct interaction but may not remove all public content, shared group activity, legal records or information already exchanged. Users should not create or use another account to bypass a block.
GuideMeet may acknowledge a report and provide a reference or outcome category where appropriate. Privacy, safety, legal and security considerations may prevent us from disclosing specific investigative information or action taken against another user.
21. Moderation and Enforcement
GuideMeet may investigate suspected violations based on user reports, Platform records, automated signals, public information, verification results, payment-provider information or other lawful sources.
Depending on the circumstances, GuideMeet may:
- provide education or a warning;
- remove or restrict content;
- reduce distribution or disable engagement;
- limit messaging, Inquiries, Referrals or connections;
- require profile correction or additional verification;
- remove or expire a verification or trust signal;
- restrict subscription or paid features;
- temporarily suspend an account;
- permanently terminate an account;
- preserve relevant records;
- notify an affected user; or
- refer a matter to a payment provider, professional body or competent authority where appropriate.
Depending on the image or account issue, GuideMeet may also:
- remove a public image or rendition;
- invalidate public image URLs;
- purge CDN copies;
- restrict image uploads or publication;
- preserve an image for a report, dispute, legal hold or security investigation; or
- prevent re-upload of a previously reported or prohibited image using hashing and related safeguards.
GuideMeet may consider severity, context, intent, history, credible risk, user cooperation and applicable law. Serious or urgent matters may result in immediate restriction without prior notice. Repeated conduct may result in stronger action even when an individual incident would otherwise receive a warning.
GuideMeet is not required to pre-screen every message or item of User Content and cannot guarantee that all prohibited conduct will be detected. Failure to act in one case does not prevent action in another case.
GuideMeet may use automated tools to support detection, prioritization or moderation, but significant action should receive appropriate human review where reasonably practicable or legally required.
22. Appeals
Where GuideMeet makes an eligible moderation, verification or account decision, the affected user may submit an appeal through an available account tool or to info@guidemeet.com within 7 Business Days after notice of the decision.
An appeal should identify the decision, explain why it should be reconsidered and include any relevant supporting information. GuideMeet may decline repetitive appeals that provide no material new information.
Where reasonably practicable, an appeal will be reviewed by a person who was not solely responsible for the original decision. GuideMeet may maintain restrictions while an appeal is pending where necessary for safety, security, legal compliance or prevention of further harm.
GuideMeet will communicate the appeal outcome where appropriate. The Terms of Use govern any contractual rights concerning suspension or termination.
23. Preservation, Cooperation and Authorities
GuideMeet may preserve relevant account, message, report, verification, consent, transaction, image and technical records where reasonably necessary for safety, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, legal claims, enforcement or compliance.
Users must cooperate reasonably with legitimate safety, verification, fraud and compliance reviews. Users must not destroy evidence, retaliate against a reporter or attempt to interfere with an investigation.
GuideMeet may disclose information to authorities or other appropriate recipients where required by law or where GuideMeet reasonably believes disclosure is permitted and necessary to protect a person, investigate suspected unlawful conduct, respond to legal process or protect GuideMeet, its users or others. Such processing is governed by the Privacy Policy and applicable law.
24. Country and Feature Availability
These Guidelines apply globally wherever the Platform is available. The availability of messaging, Guide Network, Referrals, Consultations, Services, payments, reviews and other features may vary by country, account, Guide plan, eligibility and launch phase.
GuideMeet’s intended country coverage may include Nepal, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Vietnam, the United States, Malaysia, Thailand, Bhutan, Japan, India and Tibet/China. Listing a destination does not mean that every feature is legally or technically available there.
Users remain responsible for complying with the law applicable to their communications, professional services, marketing, privacy, licensing and conduct. GuideMeet may apply supplemental country-specific rules or restrict a feature where required.
25. Relationship to Other GuideMeet Policies
These Guidelines should be read together with:
- the Terms of Use at https://guidemeet.com/terms;
- the Privacy Policy at https://guidemeet.com/privacy;
- the Cookie Policy at https://guidemeet.com/cookies;
- the Guide Standards & Verification Policy at https://guidemeet.com/guide-standards-verification when published;
- the Guide Subscription, Cancellation & Refund Policy at https://guidemeet.com/guide-subscription-policy when published; and
- the Safety Center at https://guidemeet.com/trust-safety when published.
If these Guidelines conflict with the Terms of Use, the Terms of Use control unless applicable law requires otherwise. Feature-specific terms may impose additional requirements for an enabled feature.
26. Changes to These Guidelines
GuideMeet may update these Guidelines to reflect changes in the Platform, community risks, image-protection practices, operational practices or law.
We will publish the revised version and update the Last updated date. Where a change materially affects user obligations or an active paid feature, GuideMeet will provide additional notice where reasonably appropriate or legally required.
Continued use after the effective date of an updated version constitutes acceptance where permitted by law. Where fresh affirmative acceptance is required, GuideMeet will request it.
