Understand traveler consent in referrals
Traveler consent means the traveler understands which guide will receive which information and agrees before the transfer occurs.
This article is for:Professional guides
- Specific to the proposed referral
- Informed about the recipient and data
- Recorded through the approved workflow
- Given freely, without making ordinary support conditional
- Revocable where policy and processing stage allow
Consent to contact one guide does not authorize sharing with a network of guides. Share only what is necessary for the referred request. Sensitive identity, payment or health information normally requires a different lawful and secure process.
If consent is declined or expires, do not create an off-platform workaround.
