A Consultation is most useful when you arrive with a clear question and enough context for the guide to provide focused professional input.
Prepare before requesting
- Destination and approximate dates
- Group size and traveler ages where relevant
- Experience level, pace and accessibility needs
- Main decision you want help with
- Existing itinerary or constraints
- Budget range only when relevant to the requested advice
- Questions about permits, season, transport or trip support
Do not send passports, full medical records, payment details or other sensitive information through an ordinary request.
Define the outcome
Ask whether you want a route discussion, experience recommendation, preparation review or help understanding Guide Services. A Consultation should have a bounded scope; it should not be presented as emergency, medical or guaranteed permit advice.
During the conversation
Take notes, ask the guide to separate known facts from recommendations and confirm which information may change. If the Consultation leads to a Service discussion, ask for a clear description of inclusions, price basis and responsibilities.
