Namaste! My name is Amber Bahadur Tamang, and I am a professional tour guide from Nepal with 12 years of experience in the tourism industry. I am currently based in Kathmandu and specialize in introducing travelers to the cultural, historical, architectural, and traditional heritage of the Kathmandu Valley.
My main guiding destinations are Kathmandu and Bhaktapur, two places with rich histories, living traditions, religious sites, historic neighborhoods, and remarkable architecture. I enjoy helping visitors understand not only what they see, but also the stories, beliefs, customs, and local traditions that give these places their meaning.
In Kathmandu, I guide travelers through cultural and heritage experiences that reveal the many layers of the city’s history and everyday life. I enjoy explaining the relationship between temples, monuments, communities, festivals, and local traditions, helping guests gain a deeper appreciation of Nepalese culture.
Bhaktapur offers a different atmosphere, with its historic squares, traditional architecture, old streets, local crafts, and strong connection to living heritage. I enjoy introducing travelers to the character of the city and helping them understand how history and daily life continue to exist side by side.
Over 12 years of guiding, I have worked with travelers from different countries, backgrounds, and age groups. Some guests are deeply interested in history and architecture, while others want to learn more about religion, local culture, photography, or everyday life. I try to adapt each tour to the interests and pace of the traveler so that the experience feels personal and engaging.
My guiding style is friendly, patient, informative, and flexible. I believe a good tour should feel like more than a sequence of sightseeing stops. It should help travelers understand the people, stories, and traditions connected to the places they visit.
I speak English and am comfortable communicating with international travelers. I enjoy answering questions, sharing local knowledge, and creating a relaxed environment where guests can explore and learn comfortably.
