The mountains have given me the opportunity to explore some of Nepal’s most beautiful and challenging trekking regions, and I enjoy sharing those experiences with travelers who want to discover the Himalayas on foot. I am Amrit Poudel, a trekking guide based in Kathmandu with 3 years of professional guiding experience. I have experience on popular Himalayan routes as well as quieter and less-traveled trails across Nepal. My trekking experience includes Everest Base Camp, Makalu Base Camp, Langtang Valley, Manaslu Circuit, Annapurna Base Camp, Annapurna Circuit, Mardi Himal, Khopra Trek, Ghorepani Poon Hill, Panch Pokhari, Bhairab Kunda, and Kori Trek in the Pokhara region. I enjoy working with travelers who want to experience Nepal beyond simply reaching a destination. During a trek, I focus on helping guests understand the route, mountain environment, local communities, daily trekking conditions, and the culture of the regions we pass through. Every trekking group has a different pace and expectation, so I try to keep the journey flexible and comfortable while paying attention to safety, weather, altitude, and trail conditions.
