Bal Krishna Pokharel

My name is Bal Krishna Pokharel, and I am a professional trekking guide from Gorkha, Nepal. I have been working as a guide since 2013 and have more than 13 years of experience in Nepal’s trekking industry. I am especially connected to the Manaslu region and work as a local guide for the Manaslu Trek. Being from Gorkha gives me a strong connection with the area, its mountain trails, communities, landscapes, and local way of life. Over the years, I have also guided in many other major trekking regions of Nepal. My experience includes Langtang Valley, Everest Base Camp, the Everest Three Passes Trek, Upper Mustang, Annapurna Circuit, Annapurna Base Camp, Kanchenjunga, and Makalu. Working across such a wide range of destinations has given me practical experience with different trekking environments, high-altitude routes, remote valleys, mountain passes, local villages, and the needs of travelers with different levels of trekking experience. I enjoy helping travelers experience Nepal’s mountains in an organized and meaningful way while sharing local knowledge and supporting them throughout their journey. My goal as a guide is to provide dependable support, clear communication, and a memorable trekking experience while helping visitors understand the landscapes, culture, and communities of Nepal.
