About Balaram
Namaste! My name is Balaram Bhandarai, and I am a professional trekking, tour, and language guide based in Pokhara, Nepal. I have 15 years of experience working with travelers across some of Nepal’s most important mountain and sightseeing destinations.
My guiding experience includes Pokhara, the Annapurna Region, the Manaslu Region, and the Langtang Region. Over the years, I have worked with travelers looking for different types of experiences, from multi-day Himalayan treks to sightseeing, cultural exploration, and more personalized journeys.
Being based in Pokhara gives me a strong connection to one of Nepal’s most important tourism centers and a major gateway to the Annapurna region. I enjoy helping travelers discover both the mountain environment and the cultural and scenic experiences available around the city.
My trekking experience across Annapurna, Manaslu, and Langtang has introduced me to a wide variety of landscapes, mountain communities, trails, and travel conditions. Each region offers something different, and I enjoy helping guests understand the character of each destination rather than simply following a route.
A major strength of my guiding background is language support. I provide guiding services in Korean, Arabic, and Hindi, allowing me to communicate with travelers from different backgrounds and help them feel more comfortable throughout their journey. Clear communication can make a major difference during trekking and touring, especially when travelers want to understand local culture, practical arrangements, and the places they are visiting.
My guiding style is flexible, welcoming, and focused on the individual traveler. Some guests prefer active trekking adventures, while others are more interested in sightseeing, culture, or a combination of both. I try to adjust the journey according to their interests, pace, and expectations.
After 15 years in tourism, I have learned the importance of patience, communication, responsibility, and good organization. I enjoy helping travelers feel confident while exploring Nepal and making sure they have the opportunity to appreciate the landscapes, communities, and local experiences along the way.
For me, guiding is about creating connections between travelers and Nepal. Whether I am accompanying guests through the mountains, showing them around Pokhara, or helping them communicate more comfortably through their preferred language, my goal is to provide a professional, personal, and memorable travel experience.
