Hello, I’m Umesh Basnet, a trekking guide based in Kathmandu, Nepal, with more than 12 years of experience. Since 2014, I have been guiding travelers across a wide range of trekking routes in Nepal, with Everest and Khumbu as my primary guiding area. My experience includes Everest Base Camp, Annapurna Base Camp, the Annapurna Circuit, Langtang, Manaslu, Poon Hill, and Dhaulagiri Base Camp, along with other trekking destinations across Nepal. I specialize in high-altitude trekking, village-to-village trekking, and day hiking, and I also have experience connected with tours in Tibet. After more than a decade on the trail, I understand how important good preparation, route knowledge, accommodation planning, gear guidance, and practical support can be during a trek. I can also help coordinate transport, porter support, trek permits, local cultural explanations, and rescue support when required.
