Ben Gopal Maharjan

I am Ben Gopal Maharjan, a trekking and tour guide from Kirtipur, Kathmandu. My guiding background combines Himalayan trekking with cultural and sightseeing tours, allowing me to introduce travelers to both Nepal’s mountain landscapes and its rich history, traditions and local way of life. My trekking experience includes destinations such as Annapurna Base Camp, Langtang and Gosaikunda. I enjoy helping travelers experience the mountains at a comfortable pace while sharing information about the landscapes, communities, religious traditions and everyday life found along the trails. I also guide cultural and sightseeing journeys across Kathmandu Valley and other parts of Nepal. My destinations include Kathmandu Valley, Panauti, Namobuddha, Chitwan, Pokhara, Palpa, Lumbini and Tilaurakot. These places allow me to share Nepal's Hindu and Buddhist heritage, historic settlements, temples, monasteries, architecture and local traditions with visitors. I have completed professional training in both trekking guiding and tourist guiding. I completed Trekking Guide Training in 2013 with Grade A and Tourist Guide Training in 2025 with Grade B. This combination allows me to work with travelers who want trekking adventures as well as those interested in culture, heritage and sightseeing. I enjoy meeting travelers from different backgrounds and helping them understand Nepal beyond the main attractions. Whether we are walking through an old town, visiting a Buddhist site, exploring a historic square or trekking through the Himalayas, my aim is to provide a welcoming, informative and well-organized experience.
