About Bhim
I am a trekking and mountain guide from Okhaldhunga, Nepal, with many years of experience in trekking, high-altitude climbing, and mountain expeditions. My journey in tourism began in 2005 when I started working as a porter. That experience allowed me to learn mountain routes, understand the needs of trekkers, and build practical knowledge from the ground up. In 2007, I began working as a guide and have continued working in the trekking and mountaineering field ever since.
Over the years, I have traveled and worked across trekking routes throughout Nepal. My experience also extends beyond Nepal to destinations including Mount Kailash and Tibet, Bhutan, China, India, Thailand, France, and the Czech Republic. Working with travelers from different countries has helped me understand different cultures, expectations, walking abilities, and travel styles.
My background includes both trekking and high-altitude mountaineering. I have worked in responsible mountain roles including Senior Support Climber, High Altitude Worker, and Sardar. I successfully climbed Mt. Manaslu at 8,163 meters as a High Altitude Worker in 2018. I have also climbed Lobuche Peak and Island Peak as a Senior Support Climber, as well as Larkya Peak and Mera Peak while working as a Sardar.
Mountain guiding has taught me that a successful journey requires much more than simply knowing the route. I pay attention to the pace and condition of my guests, changing mountain weather, altitude, trail conditions, logistics, and communication. I try to create a comfortable environment where travelers can ask questions, understand the places they visit, and enjoy their journey without unnecessary pressure.
I enjoy working with people from different backgrounds and sharing my knowledge of Nepal's mountains, trekking routes, local communities, and Himalayan life. Whether I am guiding a trek, supporting a climbing expedition, or traveling with guests on an international journey, I bring the experience I have gained since beginning as a porter in 2005 and becoming a guide in 2007.
