About Chanokmas
I am a licensed Thai tour guide with more than 20 years of experience in the tourism industry. I began my professional guiding career in 2004 and have worked with international travelers from many different countries and cultural backgrounds. Over the years, I have guided city tours, cultural and historical journeys, adventure activities, customized trips, inbound tours in Thailand, and outbound tours across Southeast Asia.
I started my career with Intrepid Travel, where I gained experience leading adventure and cultural trips and supporting international travelers throughout their journeys. I later worked with G Adventures from 2008 to 2020, guiding different tour programs and developing strong skills in group management, cultural interpretation, destination storytelling, customer care, and coordination with local tourism partners. Since returning to guiding in 2023, I have worked as a freelance guide with several companies in Thailand and as a Senior Tour Guide with EXO Travel.
Bangkok is one of my main guiding areas, and I enjoy introducing visitors to the city beyond simply showing famous attractions. I like explaining Thai history, traditions, religion, local communities, everyday life, food, and cultural customs in a way that is easy to understand and enjoyable. I have also completed storytelling training, which has helped me turn historical and cultural information into engaging stories rather than simply giving guests a long list of facts.
My guiding experience also includes active and outdoor experiences such as trekking, cycling, kayaking, snorkeling, cooking activities, Thai dance experiences, and other cultural and recreational activities. I enjoy adapting a trip according to the interests, pace, and travel style of each guest.
In addition to inbound tourism in Thailand, I have experience accompanying outbound tours in Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Singapore. Working across different countries has strengthened my cross-cultural communication skills and my ability to work with travelers from many backgrounds.
Guest safety and care are an important part of my work. I regularly update my first aid training, normally completing refresher training every two years. I am friendly, responsible, service-minded, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling unexpected situations during a trip. My goal is to help travelers understand the places they visit, connect with local culture, and leave Thailand with meaningful memories rather than simply photographs of attractions.
