Chhiring Sherpa

I am Chhiring Sherpa, a professional trekking guide from Solukhumbu, Nepal. I have been working as a guide since 2010 and have more than 15 years of experience leading trekkers through many of Nepal’s Himalayan regions. Over the years, I have gained strong practical knowledge of high-altitude trails, remote trekking areas, changing mountain conditions, route planning, and supporting travelers during long and demanding journeys. My guiding experience covers Everest Base Camp, the Manaslu region, Kanchenjunga, Dolpo, the Annapurna region, Mardi Himal, Dhaulagiri Circuit, Mustang, and the Nar Phu area. Working across both popular and remote trekking routes has helped me understand the different challenges travelers can face, from altitude and difficult terrain to long trekking days and isolated mountain environments. I focus on helping guests travel at a comfortable pace while keeping safety, acclimatization, and good route management in mind. Along with trekking, I also have experience in Himalayan peak climbing. I have climbed Mera Peak, Island Peak, and Lobuche Peak, including three climbs on Lobuche Peak. I am also registered as a Senior Support Climber with the Nepal Mountaineering Association. This climbing background has given me additional experience in high-altitude environments and in supporting travelers who want to combine trekking with Himalayan climbing adventures. For me, guiding is not only about reaching a destination. I enjoy helping visitors experience Nepal’s mountains, local communities, cultures, and everyday life along the trail. I aim to provide a well-organized, responsible, and supportive journey where travelers can enjoy the Himalayas with confidence and return home with meaningful memories of Nepal.
