I am Dawa Putu, a professional tour guide based in Bali, Indonesia, with 25 years of experience in the tourism and guiding industry. Over the years, I have guided travelers from different backgrounds and helped them explore Bali in a way that is comfortable, meaningful, and easy to understand. My long experience has given me strong knowledge of the island, its culture, traditions, communities, landscapes, and the practical needs of visitors traveling around Bali.
For me, guiding is not only about taking guests from one place to another. I enjoy helping travelers understand the stories, customs, and local way of life behind the places they visit. Bali has a rich cultural identity, and I try to explain it in a simple and interesting way so guests can appreciate not only what they see, but also why it is important to the local people. I also pay attention to cultural etiquette and help visitors understand how to behave respectfully when visiting temples, villages, and other important places.
With many years of guiding experience, I have learned that every traveler has different interests and expectations. Some guests want to focus on culture and heritage, while others are more interested in local communities, nature, scenery, or a relaxed introduction to Bali. I try to understand what each guest is looking for and adjust the experience accordingly. I believe a good tour should feel personal, well-paced, and enjoyable rather than rushed.

I also try to share practical local knowledge that can make a trip easier, whether it is understanding local customs, planning the day, choosing suitable places to visit, or simply helping guests feel more confident while exploring a new destination.
After 25 years in tourism, I still enjoy meeting new people and introducing them to Bali. I am happy to guide first-time visitors as well as returning travelers who want to discover more of the island.
