Dilman Tamang

Namaste! I am Dilman Tamang, a professional trekking and mountaineering guide who has been working in Nepal's tourism and mountain sector since 2011. Over the years, I have gained extensive experience across a wide range of Himalayan trekking routes, high-altitude destinations, remote valleys, and international mountain journeys. I have completed High Mountain Rescue training as part of my preparation for mountaineering guiding. Mountain safety is an important part of my approach to guiding, and I value being prepared to respond responsibly to challenges that can arise in high-altitude environments. My experience covers a diverse range of destinations and trekking styles. I have strong knowledge of the Annapurna Circuit, Annapurna Base Camp, Mardi Himal, Upper Mustang, Nar Phu Valley, Manaslu Circuit, Tsum Valley, Kanchenjunga Circuit, Ghorepani–Poon Hill, Langtang Valley, Everest Base Camp, Everest Three Passes, and Gokyo Lakes. I also have experience with journeys such as Ladakh and Kailash Yatra. One of my strengths is my ability to support travelers with different types of journeys. From classic Himalayan treks and high-altitude routes to remote-area adventures and pilgrimage travel, I enjoy helping travelers plan and experience journeys that match their interests and expectations. I believe that good guiding involves much more than leading travelers along a trail. It requires understanding the route, mountain environment, local communities, logistics, and individual needs of each traveler. I aim to provide practical guidance and help arrange the different aspects of a journey so that travelers can focus on enjoying their experience. I also have knowledge of drone piloting, adding another area of technical interest to my mountain and travel experience. Where appropriate and permitted, aerial photography can provide a unique perspective of Nepal's landscapes and trekking journeys. With more than 15 years of experience since starting in 2011, I have developed a broad understanding of Himalayan travel and continue to enjoy exploring the mountains and helping travelers discover them.
