Namaste! My name is Dorjee Sherpa, and I am a professional trekking guide with seven years of experience guiding travelers through some of Nepal’s most rewarding Himalayan regions. My trekking background includes Everest Base Camp, Annapurna Base Camp, and the Manaslu Region, giving me experience across both well-established mountain routes and more remote trekking environments. The Everest region has given me the opportunity to guide travelers through one of Nepal’s most iconic Himalayan journeys. The route to Everest Base Camp combines high mountain landscapes, traditional settlements, and a unique trekking atmosphere that attracts visitors from around the world. I also have experience guiding toward Annapurna Base Camp, where travelers encounter a very different environment. The route passes through villages, forests, valleys, and changing landscapes before reaching the dramatic mountain setting of the Annapurna Sanctuary. My experience in the Manaslu Region adds another dimension to my guiding background. Compared with Nepal’s busier trekking areas, Manaslu offers a more remote mountain experience with traditional communities, rugged trails, and impressive Himalayan scenery. I enjoy helping travelers appreciate the quieter and more adventurous character of this region. During my seven years of guiding, I have worked with trekkers with different levels of experience and physical ability. Some guests arrive with years of hiking experience, while others may be taking on their first major Himalayan journey. I try to understand each traveler’s pace, comfort level, expectations, and goals so I can provide the right level of support throughout the trek. My guiding style is friendly, practical, flexible, and supportive. I believe trekking should be about more than reaching a final destination. The landscapes, villages, local communities, conversations, and experiences along the trail are what make each journey memorable. I speak English and enjoy working with international travelers from different backgrounds. Good communication is an important part of my work, especially during multi-day journeys where flexibility and teamwork can make a significant difference. My goal is to provide travelers with a professional, enjoyable, and well-supported Himalayan trekking experience while helping them appreciate the mountains, communities, and diverse landscapes of Nepal.
