My name is Edi Firman, and I am a professional tour guide based in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. I have been working in the tourism industry since 2005, with approximately 21 years of experience introducing travelers to the culture, natural beauty, and different attractions of Lombok. I provide guiding services in English and French, with a particular focus on helping French-speaking visitors explore the island and enjoy their time in Indonesia.
Over the years, I have developed experience in different types of tours, including cultural sightseeing, nature excursions, land tours, snorkeling, cycling, soft trekking, and beach hopping. I enjoy showing visitors the different sides of Lombok, from its cultural traditions and everyday local life to its scenic landscapes, coastal areas, and outdoor attractions. My aim is to help travelers experience more than just the popular tourist spots and gain a better understanding of the destination they are visiting.
Cultural experiences are an important part of my guiding work. I enjoy introducing visitors to the traditions, customs, and local way of life that make Lombok a special destination. I believe that understanding the people and culture of a place can make a journey more meaningful. Whether travelers are interested in learning about local traditions, exploring different areas of the island, or simply enjoying the atmosphere of Lombok, I try to make each experience informative, enjoyable, and comfortable.
In addition to cultural tours, I offer nature-focused experiences for travelers who enjoy spending time outdoors. These include exploring scenic areas, enjoying beaches, participating in cycling activities, taking gentle trekking routes, and discovering Lombok's coastal attractions through snorkeling and beach excursions. I welcome travelers with different interests and understand that some visitors prefer active adventures while others enjoy a more relaxed sightseeing experience.
My ability to communicate in both English and French allows me to work with international visitors and explain the destinations and experiences in a language they understand. I value clear communication, friendly interactions, and a welcoming atmosphere throughout each trip. With many years of practical guiding experience, I understand the importance of listening to travelers and helping them make the most of their visit.
For me, guiding is about more than taking people from one attraction to another.
