About Gajendra
I am a nature, wildlife, and birdwatching guide based in Chitwan, one of Nepal’s most important areas for wildlife and nature-based travel. With five years of guiding experience, I enjoy helping visitors explore Chitwan’s forests, wetlands, wildlife habitats, local communities, and conservation areas in a responsible and informative way.
My guiding experience covers Chitwan National Park and surrounding areas including Sauraha, Meghauli, Bharatpur, Devnagar, the Barandabhar Corridor, Dakshinkali Buffer Zone, 20 Hajar Tal, and Batuli Pokhari. These places offer different opportunities to understand the natural environment of Chitwan, from forest and wetland ecosystems to bird habitats and community landscapes.
Birdwatching is an important part of my work. I help visitors observe local and migratory birds while also explaining their habitats, behavior, and the importance of protecting the forests and wetlands they depend on. During nature and jungle activities, I also share information about wildlife, plants, conservation practices, and the relationship between local communities and the environment.
I believe a good nature experience should be about more than simply seeing animals. I like helping travelers understand the wider ecosystem, including how forests, rivers, wetlands, wildlife, and communities are connected. I also enjoy introducing visitors to the culture and everyday life of people living around Chitwan.
Alongside guiding, I run Garud Khaja Ghar in Devnagar, where visitors can experience local food in a peaceful natural setting. For me, sharing local food, culture, and hospitality is another way of helping travelers understand Chitwan beyond its well-known wildlife attractions.
I can communicate in Nepali, English, Hindi, and Arabic, which allows me to work with travelers from different backgrounds. Whether the interest is wildlife observation, birdwatching, jungle activities, local culture, conservation, or a quieter nature experience around Chitwan, I aim to make each visit informative, comfortable, and closely connected to the place.
