About Gusti
Hello, I am I Gusti Putu Darmawan, and you can call me Gusda. I am from Bali, Indonesia, and I have spent around 25 years guiding visitors around the island in English and German.
For me, guiding is about more than taking guests from one attraction to another. I enjoy understanding what each traveler is interested in and helping organize a day that suits them. Some visitors want to learn about Balinese temples and traditions, while others are more interested in rice terraces, waterfalls, beaches, local markets or simply seeing everyday life in Bali.
Over the years, I have guided visitors to many parts of the island. Around Ubud, I can introduce guests to places such as Ubud Palace, Saraswati Temple, Tegallalang Rice Terraces, Tegenungan Waterfall, Goa Gajah, Gunung Kawi, local handicraft areas, markets and the Monkey Forest.
I also guide cultural and nature trips that can include Barong dance performances, Tirta Empul, coffee and spice plantations and traditional villages. In southern Bali, trips may include Uluwatu Temple, Padang Padang, Melasti, Pandawa, Nusa Dua, Jimbaran and water activities around Tanjung Benoa.
For travelers interested in exploring farther, I also organize trips toward East Bali and West Bali. These can include places such as Lempuyang Temple, Tirta Gangga, Ujung Water Palace, Jatiluwih Rice Terraces, Batukaru Temple, Tanah Lot, Ulun Danu and Taman Ayun.
I am happy to adjust the tour according to the guest's interests, available time and preferred pace. My goal is to help travelers discover Bali comfortably while learning more about the island's culture, nature, traditions and local way of life.
Profile note: The uploaded Bali tourism guide card lists English and German as his language specialization. The card shown has a validity date of 8 November 2025, so I would not describe it as a currently valid guide license unless Gusda provides a renewed card.
