About Hishi
I am Hishi Lama, a professional trekking guide from Nepal with 7 years of experience guiding travelers through the beautiful Himalayan landscapes of the Langtang and Manaslu mardi himal helambu gosaikunda regions. Trekking has given me the opportunity to explore Nepal's mountain environments while helping visitors experience the country's natural beauty, traditional villages, and rich cultural heritage. I enjoy introducing travelers to the mountains and helping them discover the landscapes, communities, and local traditions that make trekking in Nepal such a memorable experience.
My main trekking destinations are the Langtang and Manaslu regions, two remarkable areas of the Nepal Himalayas. The Langtang region is known for its beautiful valleys, forests, mountain scenery, traditional Tamang settlements, and peaceful trekking trails. The Manaslu region offers a different Himalayan experience, with remote mountain villages, dramatic landscapes, traditional lifestyles, and challenging high-altitude trekking routes. I appreciate the unique character of both regions and enjoy sharing their natural and cultural highlights with the travelers I guide.
With 7 years of trekking experience, I understand the importance of preparation, communication, and adapting a journey to the needs of different travelers. Every trekker has a different level of fitness, walking pace, and travel expectation. I believe a good trekking experience should provide enough time to enjoy the surroundings while respecting the physical demands of mountain travel. I aim to help travelers understand the trekking route, daily walking conditions, changes in altitude, and practical aspects of traveling through Nepal's mountain regions.
One of my favorite parts of being a trekking guide is introducing visitors to the everyday lives and traditions of Himalayan communities. Trekking is not only about reaching a destination or enjoying mountain views. It is also about meeting local people, exploring villages, learning about mountain culture, and experiencing the hospitality found along Nepal's trekking trails. I believe these cultural encounters often become some of the most meaningful memories of a journey.
I value responsible trekking, respect for local communities, and care for the mountain environment. I encourage travelers to respect local customs, keep trekking trails clean, and appreciate the natural and cultural surroundings of the places they visit. I also understand that mountain conditions can change, so I believe flexibility, sensible decisions, and attention to altitude-related concerns are important throughout a trek.
Whether you are planning to explore the beautiful valleys of Langtang or experience the remote mountain landscapes of Manaslu, I would be happy to help you discover these remarkable Himalayan regions. My goal is to make every journey welcoming, enjoyable, and meaningful while helping travelers develop a deeper appreciation for Nepal's mountains, people, and culture.
