Ilham Latief

My name is Ilham Latief, and I am a local tour guide based in Mataram, Lombok, Indonesia. I have around 20 years of experience working in tourism and helping travelers explore the natural beauty, local culture, and island destinations of Indonesia. My main areas of focus are Lombok and Komodo, where I help visitors discover the different experiences these destinations have to offer. Having spent many years working with travelers, I understand that everyone has different interests and expectations when visiting a new destination. Some visitors want to explore beautiful beaches and coastal scenery, while others are interested in local traditions, cultural experiences, island excursions, or spending time on the water. I enjoy helping travelers understand their options and plan experiences that match their interests, available time, and preferred pace. In Lombok, my guiding interests include exploring local attractions, discovering the island's landscapes, and introducing visitors to the places and experiences that make the destination special. I also assist travelers interested in Komodo trips, island excursions, and snorkeling experiences. I believe that understanding a destination involves more than visiting famous attractions. Learning about the local environment, everyday life, and cultural traditions can make a journey more meaningful. I communicate with international visitors in English, French, Arabic, and Japanese. Working with travelers from different countries has helped me understand the importance of clear communication, flexibility, and listening carefully to what each visitor wants from their journey. My goal as a guide is to help visitors explore Lombok and other Indonesian destinations with useful local knowledge and a friendly, personal approach. Whether you are planning your first visit to Lombok, considering a Komodo trip, or looking for snorkeling and island experiences, I welcome the opportunity to discuss your travel plans and help you explore the possibilities.
