Jeevanta Shrestha

I am Jeevanta Shrestha, a licensed trekking guide from Dolakha, Nepal. I have been working as a trekking guide since 2007 and have built many years of practical experience guiding travelers across some of Nepal’s most popular as well as remote Himalayan trekking regions. Over the years, working on different trails and with travelers from different backgrounds has helped me develop strong knowledge of trekking routes, mountain conditions, local communities, accommodation points, and the day-to-day needs of guests on the trail. My guiding experience includes the Annapurna Sanctuary and Annapurna Circuit, Ghorepani and Poon Hill, Khopra, Mardi Himal, the Everest Base Camp trek, Langtang, Manaslu, and trekking in the Dolpo region. These routes range from comfortable lower-altitude trekking areas to demanding high-altitude and remote Himalayan journeys. Because I have worked across different types of terrain, I am comfortable supporting travelers on both well-established trekking routes and longer adventures in more isolated areas. For me, good guiding is not only about showing the correct trail. I believe a guide should understand the pace and condition of the travelers, help them adjust to the mountain environment, communicate clearly, and make the journey comfortable and enjoyable. I pay attention to the daily trekking plan, changing trail and weather conditions, rest needs, and the overall experience of the people I am guiding. I also enjoy introducing travelers to the landscapes, villages, traditions, and everyday life found along Nepal’s trekking routes. After many years in the trekking profession, I continue to enjoy meeting people from around the world and sharing the Himalayas with them. My goal is to help every traveler experience Nepal’s mountains in a responsible, well-organized, and memorable way.
