Kashi Ram Gurung

Hi, I’m Kashi Ram Gurung, but you can call me Manoj. I am a government-licensed trekking guide from Nepal with more than 10 years of experience guiding travelers through the beautiful mountains and villages of the Himalayas. Since starting my guiding journey in 2014, I have had the opportunity to explore and lead treks across different regions of Nepal, reaching elevations up to 6,000 meters. My main guiding areas are the Annapurna Circuit, Mardi Himal, and Manaslu regions, but I have also guided on many other popular trekking routes including Annapurna Base Camp, Everest Base Camp, Langtang Valley, and community-based village trails across Gorkha, Lamjung, Kaski, and Myagdi. For me, trekking is not only about reaching a destination. It is about understanding the mountains, respecting local cultures, sharing stories, and creating meaningful experiences for travelers. I enjoy helping guests discover Nepal’s landscapes, traditions, and the simple lifestyle of Himalayan communities. Safety and responsible guiding are important parts of my work. I have completed training in Map Reading, Weather Reading, Navigation, First Aid, and Safety, which helps me better prepare for different situations on the trail and provide a safer trekking experience. When I am not guiding in the mountains, I enjoy photography and playing guitar. These interests allow me to capture and appreciate the beauty, people, and moments that make Nepal special. The mountains are not just my workplace; they are a way of life. I look forward to sharing the trails, cultures, landscapes, and stories of Nepal with travelers from around the world.
