Krishna Adhikari

I am Krishna Adhikari, a licensed trekking guide from Kaski, Nepal, with professional guiding experience since 2015. Over the years, I have worked with trekkers exploring some of Nepal’s best-known mountain regions, particularly the Annapurna region. Guiding has given me the opportunity to meet travelers from different backgrounds and help them experience Nepal’s mountains, villages, landscapes, and local culture in a closer and more meaningful way. I have experience guiding treks in the Annapurna region, including Annapurna Base Camp and Mardi Himal, as well as trips to Upper Mustang. These routes offer very different trekking experiences, from the forested trails and high mountain scenery around Annapurna to the dry landscapes, traditional settlements, and remote environment of Mustang. My years on these trails have helped me develop strong familiarity with trekking routes, daily walking conditions, accommodation stops, changing mountain weather, and the practical needs of travelers during multi-day treks. As a guide, I understand that every trekker has a different walking pace, level of experience, and expectation from a trip. I try to guide according to the needs of each traveler while helping them follow the route comfortably and responsibly. On higher-altitude journeys, I also understand the importance of maintaining a suitable pace, allowing time for acclimatization, and paying attention to how trekkers are responding to the altitude and physical demands of the trail. I speak English and enjoy communicating with international travelers while introducing them to the places and communities we visit along the way. For me, trekking is not only about reaching a destination such as Annapurna Base Camp or Mardi Himal. It is also about enjoying the journey, understanding the local environment, meeting people along the trail, and returning home with a memorable experience of Nepal.
