About Lal
I am Lal Bahadur Jirel, a licensed tourist guide from Nepal with experience guiding travelers on city tours, cultural sightseeing trips, and trekking journeys. I enjoy introducing visitors to Nepal through its historic cities, cultural traditions, local communities, natural landscapes, and everyday way of life. I can guide in English and Chinese, helping travelers understand the places they visit while making their journey comfortable and well organized.
My guiding destinations include Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Nagarkot, Kakani, Pokhara, Palpa, Chitwan, Lumbini, and other destinations around Nepal. I particularly enjoy guiding visitors through Nepal’s heritage cities, temples, traditional neighborhoods, viewpoints, cultural sites, and important historical and religious places. Depending on the journey, I can also accompany travelers on trekking and hiking routes.
I completed the 59th Tourist Guide Training conducted by the Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management (NATHM) in 2025, achieving Grade A. I also hold a Tourist Guide Identity Card issued by the Tourism Office Kathmandu under the Bagamati Province Government. My guide identity card is valid until August 14, 2030.
As a guide, I try to give travelers more than basic information about a destination. I want guests to understand the history, culture, traditions, landscapes, and local life connected with each place. Whether I am guiding a heritage tour in Kathmandu Valley, visiting Lumbini or Chitwan, exploring Pokhara and Palpa, or accompanying guests on a hiking or trekking journey, my goal is to provide a friendly, informative, respectful, and memorable experience.
