Adi

My name is Lukman Hadi, and most travelers know me as Adi. I am a local guide based in Mataram City, West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. I have been working as a freelance guide since 2016, mainly guiding travelers around Lombok and Sumbawa. I enjoy combining popular destinations with places that are less visited and give travelers a closer experience of local life. Before becoming a professional guide, I worked at three restaurants in tourism areas including Gili Trawangan, Senggigi, and Kuta Lombok. Working directly with travelers gave me valuable experience in hospitality, communication, and understanding what visitors expect during their time in Indonesia. It also motivated me to build a career where I could personally help travelers explore my region. My guiding experiences include Mount Rinjani trekking, camping, whale shark trips around Sumbawa, adventure programs, and remote-area exploration. I also enjoy taking travelers beyond the usual tourist routes, especially to hidden beaches and less-visited areas of South Lombok. I personally communicate with travelers, help prepare itineraries, and adjust activities according to their interests, available time, and preferred style of travel. One of the experiences I especially enjoy is exploring Lombok and Sumbawa more like a local. Some trips can include traveling by scooter through villages, coastal roads, beaches, and countryside areas. During adventure trips, I can also cook some Indonesian dishes for my guests. I enjoy surfing as well, and when the location, conditions, and itinerary are suitable, I can offer basic surfing practice as a complimentary part of the experience. Photography is another important interest of mine, together with surfing, camping, playing guitar, and discovering new places. These interests help me create trips that are not limited to sightseeing but can include local experiences, outdoor activities, photography opportunities, and time to simply enjoy the destination. I believe a good guide should understand the background, interests, and purpose of each traveler's journey. My goal is to provide quality time, personal attention, good service, and a unique experience throughout the trip. In 2024, I joined HPI in West Nusa Tenggara and obtained my professional guide license, supporting my continued work as a professional local guide in Indonesia.
