Mahadev Roka

Hello! My name is Mahadev Roka, and I am a professional cycling and trekking guide from Bandipur, Tanahun, Nepal. I have been involved in cycling for around 25 years and have worked professionally as a guide for about 10 years. Cycling has been a major part of my life, and I also have experience with bicycle mechanics during tours. Over the years, I have guided guests on journeys ranging from one-day tours to trips lasting around three weeks. I have experience leading both individual travelers and large groups, including groups of around 25 people, and managing trips from airport arrival through the completion of the journey. My experience includes demanding high-altitude routes such as the Annapurna Circuit by bicycle, crossing Thorong La at 5,416 meters, and the Manaslu Circuit with Larke Pass at around 5,100 meters. I have also guided cycling and adventure journeys to Upper Mustang and Lo Manthang, as well as routes between Kathmandu and Muktinath. I also have international Himalayan route experience, including an approximately 18–20 day Lhasa to Kathmandu journey via the Everest region on the Tibet side and visits around Everest Base Camp on the Tibet side at about 5,200 meters. These journeys have given me practical experience with long-distance travel, high-altitude conditions, changing terrain, and group management. As a guide, my main strength is combining cycling knowledge, mechanical understanding, route experience, and group leadership. I enjoy helping travelers experience difficult mountain routes safely and confidently while making their journey enjoyable from the beginning to the end.
