Niraj Joshi

My name is Niraj Joshi, and I am a licensed tourist and trekking guide from Nepal. I am originally from Dhangadhi, Kailali, and currently work from Kathmandu. My academic background combines tourism with a deeper study of Nepal’s spiritual and cultural traditions. I am a graduate in Travel & Tourism from NATHM and have also completed a Master’s degree in Buddhist Studies from Tribhuvan University. This combination allows me to guide travelers not only through places, but also through the history, beliefs, traditions, and cultural meanings connected with them. I am particularly interested in Nepalese culture, Buddhism, heritage, pilgrimage traditions, and the stories behind the country’s religious and historical sites. I can also organize specialized Buddhist and cultural tours for travelers who want to understand Nepal beyond standard sightseeing. My guiding experience includes cultural destinations across Nepal as well as Chitwan National Park. In addition, I hold a professional trekking guide license, which gives me a broader understanding of outdoor travel and trekking tourism. I can communicate in English, German, French, and Nepali, allowing me to work with travelers from different backgrounds. I am also involved in charity and community initiatives and enjoy using tourism as a way to promote Nepal positively to international visitors. My goal is to create meaningful, informative, and memorable journeys that help travelers understand Nepal’s culture, spirituality, people, traditions, and natural beauty.
