Nyima Pamo Gurung

My name is Nyima Pamo. I am originally from Upper Mustang, Nepal, and I am a passionate trekking guide who loves the mountains, nature, people, and culture of Nepal. Because I was born and raised in Upper Mustang, I have a special connection with the mountains and communities of the Mustang region. My main focus as a trekking guide is Upper Mustang and Lower Mustang, where I love sharing the unique landscapes, culture, traditions, villages, and stories of my homeland with travelers from around the world. Over the years, I have also had the opportunity to trek and guide in different parts of Nepal. I have explored the Annapurna region, including Poon Hill, Ghandruk, and Mardi Himal. I have also traveled through Langtang and different parts of Rasuwa, as well as the Everest region. My experience in trekking has taught me much more than just following trails. It has taught me patience, responsibility, leadership, teamwork, and how to care for people while traveling in the mountains. As a woman working as a trekking guide, I have also faced challenges along the way, but those experiences have made me stronger and more confident. For me, trekking is not only a job. It is something I truly love. I enjoy walking through the mountains, meeting people from different countries, learning from their stories, and helping them experience the beauty and culture of Nepal. I feel especially blessed to introduce people to Mustang—the place where I was born, the place I call home, and a place that will always have a special place in my heart. Thank you
