Namaste! My name is OM Prakash Panta, and I am a professional tour guide based in Kathmandu, Nepal, with 18 years of experience working in the tourism industry. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to guide travelers from different countries and help them discover the culture, history, landscapes, traditions, and everyday life of Nepal.
My main guiding destinations are Kathmandu and Pokhara, two of Nepal’s most important travel destinations. In Kathmandu, I enjoy introducing travelers to the rich cultural and historical character of the city. The Kathmandu Valley is known for its ancient architecture, temples, religious traditions, historic neighborhoods, local communities, and living heritage. I enjoy helping visitors understand the stories and cultural meaning behind the places they see rather than simply moving from one attraction to another.
Pokhara offers a very different experience. With its peaceful atmosphere, mountain scenery, lakes, viewpoints, and access to surrounding villages and natural areas, it is an ideal destination for travelers who want to experience both relaxation and the beauty of Nepal’s landscape. I enjoy helping visitors explore Pokhara at a comfortable pace while sharing information about the local environment, communities, and significance of the region.
My many years of guiding have taught me how important it is to understand the interests and expectations of each traveler. Some guests are interested in history and culture, while others prefer sightseeing, photography, local experiences, or simply exploring a destination at a relaxed pace. I try to adapt my guiding style so that each journey feels personal and enjoyable.
I believe a good guide should do more than explain places. A guide should help travelers feel comfortable, understand local customs, communicate with confidence, and experience the destination in a meaningful way. I enjoy sharing local knowledge, answering questions, and helping travelers better understand Nepal’s people, traditions, and way of life.
I speak English and am comfortable working with international visitors. My guiding style is friendly, professional, patient, and flexible, with a strong focus on making each trip informative and memorable.
After 18 years in tourism, I continue to enjoy meeting new people and sharing Nepal with travelers from around the world. My goal is to provide thoughtful and enjoyable guided experiences that allow visitors to discover Kathmandu and Pokhara with greater understanding, comfort, and appreciation.
