Namaste! I am Param Lamichhane, a cultural and adventure guide based in Pokhara, Nepal, with 11 years of professional experience in tourism. I specialize in working with French-speaking travelers, helping them discover Nepal through a combination of cultural experiences, mountain adventures, local traditions, and meaningful interactions. My guiding experience includes Everest Base Camp, Annapurna Base Camp, Manaslu, and Mustang. These destinations have allowed me to work across a wide range of Himalayan environments, from established trekking routes and dramatic mountain landscapes to culturally distinctive communities and remote areas. One of my strengths is helping French-speaking visitors feel comfortable while exploring Nepal. Language can play an important role in travel, particularly when discussing local history, customs, traditions, and everyday life. Being able to guide travelers in French allows me to communicate these aspects more naturally and help visitors engage more deeply with their surroundings. I am interested in the cultural side of travel as much as the adventure itself. Nepal's heritage can be experienced through its communities, architecture, traditions, religious practices, local lifestyles, and the stories connected to different places. I enjoy sharing these elements with visitors rather than limiting a trip to sightseeing alone. My experience in adventure tourism has also given me an appreciation for the different challenges and rewards of Himalayan travel. Everest Base Camp and Annapurna Base Camp offer iconic mountain experiences, while Manaslu and Mustang provide opportunities to explore distinctive landscapes and communities with their own character and traditions. I believe that every traveler comes to Nepal with different interests. Some may be drawn primarily to the mountains, while others may want to understand Nepal's history and culture or experience everyday life in local communities. I enjoy combining these interests where possible to create a more complete travel experience. Over 11 years in the profession, I have had the opportunity to meet travelers from different backgrounds and learn from the exchange that takes place through travel. I aim to give travelers enough context to understand the places they visit while also leaving room for them to experience Nepal in their own way.
