About Pasang

Namaste! My name is Pasang Chenga Thing, and I am a professional trekking guide with 16 years of experience working in Nepal’s Himalayan trekking industry. Over the years, I have guided travelers through different parts of Nepal, gaining broad experience with both well-known trekking routes and more remote mountain journeys. My guiding experience extends across Nepal, including major trekking destinations such as Everest Base Camp and Annapurna Base Camp. I also have experience with the Lumba Sumba Pass route, giving me exposure to a more remote and demanding style of Himalayan trekking away from the country’s busiest trails. Working across different regions has allowed me to experience Nepal’s remarkable variety of landscapes, communities, climates, and trail conditions. From established base-camp routes to remote mountain areas, I enjoy helping travelers appreciate not only the scenery but also the villages, local cultures, and everyday life they encounter along the way. Over 16 years of guiding, I have worked with travelers with different levels of trekking experience. Some guests are experienced hikers seeking challenging adventures, while others may be visiting the Himalayas for the first time. I understand that every traveler has a different pace, comfort level, fitness level, and personal goal, so I try to adapt my approach to each individual journey. My guiding style is calm, practical, supportive, and responsible. I believe successful trekking requires good communication, patience, flexibility, teamwork, and careful attention to the people traveling with you. I also believe the journey itself is just as important as reaching the final destination. I enjoy helping travelers understand the mountain environment and the communities they pass through. For me, trekking is not simply about walking from one place to another. It is an opportunity to connect with nature, experience different cultures, challenge yourself, and create meaningful memories in some of Nepal’s most impressive landscapes. With experience ranging from classic trekking routes to remote high-mountain journeys, I can support travelers looking for different kinds of Himalayan experiences. My goal is to provide each guest with a professional, welcoming, and memorable trekking journey while helping them experience Nepal’s mountains, people, and landscapes with greater understanding and appreciation.
