About Prem
My name is Prem Bahari, and I am a professional trekking guide based in Kathmandu, Nepal, with 15 years of experience in the tourism and trekking industry. Over the years, I have developed a strong connection with Nepal's natural landscapes, mountain environments, and local communities. Trekking has become an important part of my professional life, giving me opportunities to meet travelers from different countries, share knowledge about Nepal, and introduce visitors to the country's beautiful surroundings and cultural traditions.
As a trekking guide, I focus on helping travelers enjoy meaningful, comfortable, and well-organized outdoor experiences. I understand that every traveler has different interests, walking abilities, and expectations. Some visitors prefer relaxed walks and opportunities to experience local surroundings, while others are interested in more active trekking adventures. I believe that good guiding involves understanding these differences, communicating clearly, and helping travelers feel confident throughout their journey.
Being based in Kathmandu allows me to introduce visitors to the natural beauty, local lifestyles, and outdoor experiences associated with the Kathmandu region. I enjoy sharing information about the places travelers visit, including their landscapes, communities, traditions, and everyday life. For me, trekking is not simply about reaching a destination. It is also about appreciating the journey, understanding the surroundings, and experiencing the hospitality of local people.
I communicate with travelers in English and Spanish, allowing me to assist visitors from different linguistic backgrounds. I believe that clear communication, patience, and a friendly approach are important qualities of a professional guide. My years of experience have helped me understand the importance of preparation, responsible travel, and adapting the experience to the needs of individual travelers and groups.
My goal is to help visitors discover Nepal through enjoyable trekking experiences while developing a deeper appreciation of its natural environment and local culture. Whether someone is visiting Nepal for the first time or returning to explore more of the country, I aim to provide a welcoming and memorable experience built around their interests, comfort, and expectations.
