Rabin Son

Namaste, I’m Rabin Son, a government-certified trekking guide from Sarlahi, Nepal, now based in Kathmandu. I have been guiding since 2022, with most of my work focused on high-altitude trekking in the Everest region. I am also a high-altitude photographer, videographer, and drone pilot, so I often experience the mountains both as a guide and through a camera. My main trekking experience in the Khumbu includes Everest Base Camp, Gokyo Valley, and the Everest Three Passes. I have also trained at Nepal Mountain Academy and completed a Basic Mountain Navigation Course through the Nepal Mountaineering Instructors Association. These experiences have helped me strengthen my route knowledge, mountain navigation, altitude awareness, and practical preparation for demanding Himalayan journeys. Photography and filmmaking are also an important part of my work. I produce destination promotion videos and outdoor adventure content, and I enjoy helping travelers capture the landscapes, wildlife, and moments they encounter along the trail. I can also support trekkers with route planning, altitude preparation, gear guidance, local cultural explanation, food and teahouse guidance, assistant guide coordination, and rescue coordination support when required.
