Hello and Namaste! My name is Raj Kumar Gupta, and I am a licensed tourist guide based in Lumbini, Rupandehi, Nepal. I have been working in tourism for around four years, mainly guiding visitors who come to explore Lumbini. I enjoy meeting travelers from different places and helping them understand the destination in a simple, friendly, and comfortable way. Most of my guiding experience is focused on Lumbini, a destination known around the world for its Buddhist heritage and spiritual importance. Because I am based locally, I am familiar with the area and the experience travelers can expect when visiting it. During a tour, I try to give visitors enough time to observe the places, understand their significance, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of Lumbini. I am officially licensed as a Tourist Guide by the Tourism Division Office, Rupandehi, Government of Lumbini Province. For me, having a guide license is also a responsibility to provide travelers with professional and respectful guidance. I always try to communicate clearly, assist visitors during their time in Lumbini, and make their visit easier and more meaningful. I can communicate in Nepali, Hindi, and English, which helps me guide both domestic and international visitors. I try to explain information in a way that is easy to understand rather than making a tour feel like a long lecture. I also welcome questions from travelers because I believe a good tour becomes more interesting when visitors can ask about the places, culture, traditions, and local life they see around them. My approach to guiding is friendly, patient, and focused on the traveler’s interests. Some visitors may want to understand more about Lumbini’s heritage and spiritual importance, while others may simply want a relaxed introduction to the destination. I try to adjust the experience accordingly so travelers can explore Lumbini at a comfortable pace. I believe visiting Lumbini should be more than just seeing important sites and taking photographs. I want the people I guide to leave with a better understanding of the place, its cultural importance, and the peaceful character that makes Lumbini special.
