Namaste! I am Rajesh Pakhrin, an experienced trekking guide from Nepal with 10 years of professional experience in the tourism and trekking sector. Since beginning my guiding career in 2016, I have explored and worked across a variety of Himalayan trails, developing a strong understanding of Nepal's mountain environments and trekking experiences. My experience includes the Everest, Manaslu, Langtang, and Annapurna regions, as well as Mardi Himal. Working across these areas has exposed me to different landscapes, altitudes, trail conditions, villages, and mountain communities. I enjoy the variety that trekking in Nepal offers. A journey can move through forests, rural settlements, open mountain terrain, and high-altitude landscapes within just a few days. Each region has its own character, and I enjoy helping travelers appreciate those differences rather than treating every trek as the same experience. My experience with routes in the Everest region has provided opportunities to work in some of Nepal's most iconic mountain environments. The Annapurna and Mardi Himal areas offer a different combination of scenery and trail experiences, while Manaslu and Langtang provide their own distinctive landscapes and communities. I understand that travelers have different reasons for coming to the mountains. Some are interested in spectacular scenery and photography, others enjoy the physical challenge, while many want to experience village life and local culture along the way. I try to understand these interests and help travelers get the most from their time on the trail. I speak English and enjoy communicating with visitors from different countries and backgrounds. I believe clear communication and a friendly approach are important, particularly during longer treks where the guide and traveler spend considerable time together. Over the past decade, guiding has allowed me to develop not only route knowledge but also an appreciation for the small details that shape a memorable trek — changing landscapes, conversations in villages, mountain viewpoints, and the sense of achievement that comes with completing a challenging section of trail. My goal is to provide travelers with a well-supported and enjoyable Himalayan experience, combining practical trekking knowledge with an appreciation for Nepal's mountains, communities, and natural beauty.
