About Raju
Namaste! I am Raju Suwal, an experienced historical and cultural guide from Nepal with 12 years of professional guiding experience. My passion is helping travelers discover the history, cultural heritage, traditions, architecture, and communities that make Nepal such a fascinating destination.
Over the years, I have guided visitors through a wide variety of historical sites, cultural heritage destinations, and traditional communities across Nepal. I enjoy introducing travelers to the stories behind the places they visit and helping them understand how Nepal's history and traditions continue to influence everyday life.
For me, cultural tourism is about much more than visiting monuments and taking photographs. Nepal's heritage can be experienced through its architecture, religious traditions, festivals, traditional neighborhoods, craftsmanship, local customs, and the communities that continue to preserve these practices.
I enjoy bringing these elements together during my tours and helping travelers see Nepal from a local perspective. Whether exploring historic landmarks, visiting cultural heritage sites, or spending time in traditional communities, I aim to make each experience informative, engaging, and enjoyable.
My 12 years of guiding experience have helped me develop a strong understanding of how to communicate Nepal's history and culture to travelers from different backgrounds. I understand that visitors may have different interests — some may be fascinated by architecture and history, while others may want to learn more about religion, traditions, art, or everyday community life.
I believe a good cultural guide should do more than provide facts. A guide should help visitors understand why a place matters, how it developed, and what it means to the people who live there. I enjoy turning historical and cultural knowledge into stories that travelers can connect with and remember.
I speak English and enjoy meeting people from different countries and sharing Nepal's rich cultural heritage with them. My goal is to create thoughtful and authentic experiences that allow travelers to develop a deeper appreciation for Nepal's history, traditions, and people.
Whether you are interested in ancient heritage, architecture, local traditions, historical stories, or the everyday cultural life of Nepal, I look forward to helping you explore the country through an informed and authentic local perspective.
My goal is to bring Nepal's history and culture to life — helping travelers not only see its heritage, but understand the stories, traditions, and communities behind it.
