About Ram
Namaste and greetings from Nepal! I am Ram Acharya, a professional tour guide based in Kathmandu, Nepal. Born and raised in Kathmandu, I have a deep connection with the city’s history, culture, traditions, and everyday life. With more than a decade of experience in tourism, I have had the opportunity to introduce travelers from around the world to the beauty, diversity, and heritage of Nepal.
I started my professional guiding journey in 2011, and since then I have gained extensive experience helping travelers explore Nepal’s cultural landmarks, historical sites, natural attractions, and local communities. My guiding experience has allowed me to understand the interests of different types of travelers and provide meaningful experiences beyond simple sightseeing.
Kathmandu Valley is my home and my area of expertise. I enjoy sharing the stories behind Nepal’s ancient temples, UNESCO World Heritage Sites, traditions, festivals, architecture, and local way of life. Along with Kathmandu, I also have experience supporting travelers exploring other major destinations across Nepal, offering insights into the country’s diverse landscapes and cultures.
I hold two Master’s degrees from Tribhuvan University, which have strengthened my understanding of Nepal’s society, history, and cultural diversity. I believe that knowledge, communication, and genuine interaction are essential parts of creating memorable travel experiences. My goal is to help visitors understand Nepal not only as a destination but also as a place with rich traditions, welcoming communities, and unique stories.
Through GuideMeet, I aim to continue building my career in tourism by providing travelers with authentic, comfortable, and meaningful experiences in Nepal. I look forward to welcoming guests, sharing my knowledge, and helping them create unforgettable memories during their journey.
