Hello, I’m Asmadi, but most travelers call me Adi. I live in Mataram on the island of Lombok, Indonesia, I am a local mountain and trekking guide specializing in Mount Rinjani expeditions. I have been guiding travelers on the slopes of Rinjani since 2012, bringing more than 15 years of hands-on experience to every climb. Before founding my own team at Rinjani Adventure, I spent years working with local trekking companies in Senaru, guiding visitors through Lombok’s volcanic landscapes. Over the years, I have learned how to read changing mountain weather, pace a group safely at high altitude, and manage all the behind-the-scenes details of a multi-day trip. My main focus is volcano hiking, day treks, and village-to-village routes around Mount Rinjani and Lombok. Whether navigating popular ascent trails, organizing porter and logistics support, or leading climbers up toward the summit, I make sure safety, careful decision-making, and clear communication are at the core of every trek. For me, a great trek is about more than reaching the top—it is about feeling cared for, staying safe, and enjoying the journey. I try to bring a warm, friendly, and calm energy to every expedition, keeping spirits high with a good sense of humor when the trail gets steep.
