I am a licensed city tour guide based in Kathmandu, Nepal, with seven years of professional guiding experience. I enjoy introducing visitors to Kathmandu through its history, culture, traditions, religious heritage, architecture, and everyday local life. For me, guiding is not simply about taking travelers from one place to another. It is about helping them understand what they are seeing and giving them the cultural background that makes each place more meaningful. During a city tour, I try to explain history and culture in a clear and comfortable way rather than overwhelming guests with too many dates or facts. I enjoy answering questions and adjusting my explanations according to the interests of each traveler. Some visitors are especially interested in history and architecture, while others want to understand religion, local customs, traditional lifestyles, or the way Kathmandu has changed over time. I try to make every tour informative while keeping the experience relaxed and personal. I can guide travelers in English and German, which allows me to work with visitors from different backgrounds and communicate cultural information more clearly. I believe good communication is an important part of guiding, especially when explaining traditions, religious practices, and local etiquette that may be unfamiliar to international visitors. As a Kathmandu-based guide, I also enjoy helping travelers understand the city beyond its major attractions. Local neighborhoods, daily routines, festivals, traditional practices, and interactions with local people can often provide just as much insight as famous monuments. I aim to create tours where visitors can ask questions freely, observe local life respectfully, and develop a deeper understanding of Nepalese culture. My approach to guiding is calm, respectful, and guest-focused. I understand that every traveler has a different pace and level of interest, so I try to adapt the tour accordingly. Whether someone is visiting Nepal for the first time or returning to explore the city more deeply, my goal is to provide a welcoming, informative, and enjoyable city tour experience.
