About Shreejan
Namaste! My name is Shreejan Prajapati, and I am a professional tour and trekking guide with approximately nine to ten years of experience helping travelers discover Nepal’s cultural heritage, religious traditions, historic cities, scenic destinations, and local way of life.
A major part of my guiding experience is centered around the Kathmandu Valley, where I introduce visitors to some of Nepal’s most important historical and cultural landmarks. My experience includes Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Boudhanath, Swayambhunath, Pashupatinath, and Changu Narayan. These places offer travelers an opportunity to understand Nepal’s architecture, history, religious traditions, craftsmanship, and living heritage.
I enjoy helping visitors look beyond the monuments themselves. For me, a meaningful cultural tour should explain the stories, beliefs, traditions, and everyday life connected to each place. I like answering questions and helping travelers understand how Hindu and Buddhist traditions, historic settlements, festivals, and local communities continue to shape life in Nepal today.
My guiding experience also includes Pokhara, Chitwan, Nagarkot, Chandragiri, and Lumbini, allowing me to offer travelers a broader view of Nepal. Pokhara provides beautiful natural scenery and a relaxed atmosphere, while Chitwan introduces visitors to Nepal’s wildlife and lowland environment. Lumbini offers an important spiritual and historical experience as the birthplace of Lord Buddha.
For travelers who enjoy combining sightseeing with outdoor activities, I also guide experiences such as Nagarkot day hiking, where visitors can enjoy countryside landscapes, hill trails, local settlements, and scenic surroundings without committing to a long mountain trek.
Over nearly a decade in tourism, I have learned that every traveler has different interests. Some guests want detailed cultural and historical explanations, while others prefer photography, spirituality, nature, easy walking, or a combination of several experiences. I try to adapt each tour to the traveler’s interests and pace.
My guiding style is informative, friendly, patient, and flexible. My goal is to help visitors experience Nepal not simply as a collection of attractions, but as a country with rich history, living traditions, diverse landscapes, and welcoming communities.
