Sitaram Karki

I am Sitaram Karki, a professional trekking and peak climbing guide with more than 25 years of experience in Nepal's tourism and mountain guiding industry. I have been involved in guiding since 2001 and have spent many years accompanying travelers through Nepal's mountains, remote valleys and well-known trekking regions. My long experience has helped me develop practical knowledge of mountain routes, changing trail conditions, guest care and the responsibilities involved in guiding people safely through challenging Himalayan environments. Over the years, I have guided on routes including Everest Base Camp, Annapurna Circuit, Annapurna Base Camp, Manaslu Circuit, Langtang, Upper Mustang, Mardi Himal and Kanchenjunga. My experience also includes peak climbing and expedition environments, including Himlung and Ama Dablam. I enjoy helping travelers experience both the adventure of the Himalayas and the landscapes, communities and cultures that make each region different. For me, good guiding means understanding the people I travel with, keeping the journey organized and paying close attention to safety throughout the trip. Some guests come to Nepal for their first Himalayan trek, while others are looking for more demanding mountain experiences. I try to adjust my guidance to the pace, experience and expectations of each traveler while sharing the practical knowledge I have gained from many years in the mountains. I want my guests to return home not only remembering the destination they reached, but also the people they met, the landscapes they crossed and the experiences they shared along the way. My aim is to provide professional support, local knowledge and dependable guidance so travelers can experience Nepal's mountains with confidence and enjoyment.
