Subodh Pathak

Hello and Namaste! My name is Subodh Pathak, and I am a professional tourist guide based in Kathmandu, Nepal. I have been working in the tourism field for around 15 years, guiding visitors and helping them explore Kathmandu in a comfortable and meaningful way. Over the years, guiding has become more than just my profession because I enjoy meeting people from different places and introducing them to my city. Having spent many years guiding in Kathmandu, I have developed strong local knowledge and practical experience in working with different kinds of travelers. I understand that every visitor has different interests, expectations, and ways of traveling, so I try to make each tour easy to follow and suitable for the guest. I also enjoy answering questions and helping travelers understand the places they visit instead of simply showing them around. I am a licensed tourist guide, and my experience has taught me the importance of being responsible, patient, punctual, and helpful while guiding. I try to make travelers feel comfortable from the beginning of the tour and give them enough time to observe, ask questions, and enjoy their surroundings. My aim is to make the journey informative without making it feel rushed or overly formal. I speak Nepali, Hindi, and English, which allows me to communicate with travelers from different backgrounds. Good communication is very important in guiding because visitors often need local information, explanations, suggestions, and practical assistance during their trip. I always try to communicate clearly and create a friendly environment where guests can freely ask questions. Kathmandu is the place I know best, and I enjoy helping visitors experience it through the knowledge I have gained from living and working here. I believe traveling with a local guide can help visitors understand a destination more personally and make their time more convenient. Whenever I guide someone, I try to share useful local knowledge while also respecting the traveler's own interests and pace. For me, a successful tour is one where my guests finish the day feeling that they have learned something, enjoyed themselves, and felt comfortable throughout the experience. After around 15 years in tourism, I still enjoy meeting new travelers and sharing Kathmandu with them. I look forward to welcoming visitors to Nepal and helping them have a memorable experience in Kathmandu.
