About Sudan
Namaste. I am a government-licensed trekking guide in Nepal with more than 20 years of experience working with travelers in the Himalayas. I am based in Kathmandu and communicate in English with my guests. Over the years, I have learned that a good trek is not only about reaching a destination. It is also about maintaining a comfortable pace, understanding the surroundings, staying aware of changing trail conditions, and helping travelers enjoy each day of the journey.
My trekking experience includes Langtang and Gosaikunda, the Annapurna region, the Manaslu region, and the Everest region. Working across these different parts of Nepal has given me practical knowledge of mountain trails, villages, local accommodation, weather conditions, trekking routines, and the challenges travelers may experience during multi-day journeys. I enjoy sharing what I know about the landscapes, communities, culture, and everyday life of the places we visit.
During a trek, I pay attention to the comfort and walking pace of each traveler. I believe communication is especially important in the mountains, so I try to explain the day's route clearly and help guests understand what to expect ahead. I also encourage travelers to walk at a suitable pace, rest when needed, and approach higher-altitude trekking patiently.
After more than two decades of guiding, I still enjoy meeting people from different countries and introducing them to Nepal. Whether I am guiding in Langtang, Annapurna, Manaslu, Everest, or another trekking area, my aim is to provide a friendly, responsible, and well-organized experience. I want travelers to return home with good memories of Nepal, its mountains, its people, and the journey we shared.
