About Sushil
My name is Sushil Kumar Khatri, and I am a professional trekking and city guide from Sindhupalchok, Nepal. I have been working as a guide since 2007 and have spent many years introducing travelers to Nepal’s mountains, cities, heritage sites, national parks, and local communities.
My trekking experience covers several of Nepal’s major Himalayan regions, including Everest, Langtang, Mustang, Manaslu, and Annapurna. Working across different trekking environments has given me practical experience with mountain routes, guest care, changing conditions, and the different needs of travelers.
Alongside trekking, I also guide city and cultural tours across Nepal. My destination experience includes Kathmandu Valley and other cities, Chitwan National Park, Bardia, Lumbini, Ilam, and other cultural and natural destinations. I have built a large personal collection of photographs of Nepal’s mountains and heritage, reflecting my long connection with the places I guide.
I speak English, German, Hindi, and Nepali, which helps me communicate with travelers from different backgrounds. Over the years, I have worked with international guests and developed strong communication, flexibility, and problem-solving skills.
For me, guiding is about helping travelers understand more than the destination itself. I enjoy sharing Nepal’s landscapes, history, culture, traditions, wildlife, and local life while helping guests experience the country in an organized and meaningful way.
