Swikar Bastola

My name is Swikar Bastola, and I am a professional trekking guide from Jhapa, Nepal. I have one year of experience working in Nepal’s trekking industry, with guiding experience in the Kanchenjunga region of eastern Nepal. Kanchenjunga offers a very different trekking experience from Nepal’s busier mountain regions. Through my experience there, I have become familiar with the challenges of long trekking days, changing mountain environments, remote trails, and the experience of traveling through eastern Nepal. I enjoy supporting trekkers throughout their journey and helping them experience Nepal’s Himalayan landscapes in an organized and enjoyable way. As a guide, I aim to understand each traveler’s pace, provide useful information along the trail, and help make their trekking experience memorable. I speak Nepali, Hindi, and English, which helps me communicate with travelers from different backgrounds. I look forward to gaining more experience as a trekking guide and introducing more visitors to the natural beauty and remote mountain landscapes of the Kanchenjunga region.
