I am Carlos Suu, a local travel guide and tour operator based in Jayapura, Papua, Indonesia. I have been working in tourism since 2009 and have more than 17 years of experience guiding travelers through Papua and surrounding areas. My work is closely connected to local communities, landscapes, traditions, and the unique cultures found across this part of Indonesia. Over the years, I have guided travelers on a variety of journeys, including village-to-village trekking, rainforest and jungle trekking, day hikes, and multi-day trekking experiences. I especially enjoy introducing visitors to lesser-known destinations, remote communities, and the natural beauty of Papua while helping them understand the local way of life. My guiding approach combines outdoor adventure with cultural connection. I support travelers with route planning, transportation arrangements, local cultural explanation, accommodation and food coordination, porter support, and other practical needs during their journey. I always try to make each trip well organized, comfortable, and meaningful for the people traveling with me. For me, guiding is more than showing people a destination. It is about helping travelers discover Papua through local knowledge, genuine interaction, and respectful experiences.
