Hi, I’m Ujwal Chamlagain, a licensed trekking guide based in Kathmandu, Nepal, with a deep-rooted love for the mountains, wilderness, and the local communities that shape every journey. My path as a guide has taken me across diverse landscapes throughout Nepal, from popular routes like Annapurna Base Camp, Langtang Base Camp, and Timbung Pokhari to deeper wilderness experiences in remote areas like Bajhang. Among those experiences, I spent about 15 days guiding a group on a camping expedition through the forests of Bajhang, which heavily shaped my skills in outdoor living, navigation, and adapting to remote environments. Beyond standard trails, my work spans specialized interests including multi-day trekking, historical interpretation, ethical wildlife experiences, and motorbike tours. For me, adventure is never just about reaching a final destination; it is about discovering places beyond the usual routes, connecting with local people, and experiencing the country from a genuine local perspective.
