About Bishnu
I am a licensed trekking guide and practicing shaman based in Nepal. With years of experience in the Himalayas, I guide both first-time trekkers and experienced adventurers through Nepal’s mountain landscapes.
I completed professional Trekking Guide Training at the Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management in 2013, achieving Grade A. I also completed First Aid Training for High Altitude Trekkers through the Kathmandu Environmental Education Project in 2019.
My first-aid training covered altitude sickness, CPR, bleeding, fractures, burns, hypothermia, frostbite, respiratory problems, snow blindness, and the use of an oximeter and portable altitude chamber. This training supports my careful and safety-focused approach while guiding in the mountains.
Alongside my work as a trekking guide, I am a practicing shaman. My spiritual practice gives me a personal connection to Nepal’s traditional beliefs, cultural heritage, natural environment, and the relationship between people and the landscapes around them.
When appropriate, I help travelers understand local traditions, spiritual beliefs, cultural practices, and the importance of respecting sacred places. I share this knowledge carefully and respectfully rather than presenting spiritual traditions only as entertainment.
During each trek, I provide personalized guidance based on the traveler’s experience, fitness, interests, and comfort level. I explain the route, daily walking plan, local customs, natural surroundings, and changing trail conditions.
I believe trekking is not only about reaching a destination. It is also an opportunity to connect with nature, understand local communities, experience Nepal’s living traditions, and return home with meaningful memories.
My goal is to make every journey safe, enjoyable, culturally respectful, and personally memorable.
