Setting Clear Expectations Before a Service Request

Clear expectations reduce disagreement before it begins.

Before a traveler submits a Service request, make sure the listing answers:

  • What outcome the Service provides
  • Who it is suitable for
  • Destination, duration and group size
  • Price basis, currency and unavoidable separate costs
  • Inclusions and exclusions
  • Traveler preparation and information required
  • Third-party roles
  • Conditions that can change the plan
  • What submission means and what happens next

Use the first response to confirm details that cannot be standardized. Do not introduce a material cost or exclusion only after the traveler has relied on the listing.

If weather, permits or supplier availability matter, explain how uncertainty is handled. “Subject to conditions” is not enough by itself.

A Service request is not a confirmed booking unless GuideMeet provides that explicit status. Keep important changes in the authorized conversation.
